This is a great place for breakfast. Always get hashbrowns crispy, with eggs over easy and sausage patties. No frills, good food. And the service is great. If all you want is breakfast done well, stop here. I also love the old time diner feel!

Known for the Dutch baby, popover style pancake with Apple topping and their oven baked omelettes.
I personally am not a fan of either but if you are, it’s the place to go.
Good coffee, good service and okay food. Usually takes a while for your food to arrive. I’m also not a big fan of everyone at the table not being served at the same time. I realize that some things take longer than others to make, but it’s about the timing. Don’t make someone else’s scrambled eggs until another Dutch baby is almost completed, then both parties are eating at the same time. Instead they tend to bring out the scrambled eggs, all the other guests is waiting for their food.

Been to several Original Pancake House around the East Coast but recently stopped into Delray Beach, which is different than the usual location I go toin Boca. I ordered a standard ham and cheddar omelette. It came out completely overcooked and dry without the cheddar. I informed the waiter who offered to bring the problem to the manager but I said don’t worry about it I already ate some, please just give me the bill but you should know this is the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. After taking my check and disappearing for 15 minutes when I needed to leave, she finally came back and said the manager has agreed to take the $1 cheddar cheese off your bill which made me lmao. All I wanted to do was pay the bill, and be on my way and not wait 15 minutes more to drive tomynext bkfst spot so I eat. And lastly, when they didn’t bring me syrup for 10 minutes for the pancakes, they just brought me a plate of butter. By that time the pancakes were cold and rubbery. Lol. I had been to this location a few months prior and it was excellent but something has gone way downhill.

Just wanted to share my experience with my local Original Pancake House in Delray Beach, FL.
I’ll admit the kitchen crew needs to spend time with presentations for plates. Definitely not the fault of the wait staff….
However…
ALL the ladies and gentlemen
are ALL absolutely exceptional…
ABOVE AND BEYOND ☕
This includes the manager, waitresses, busboys-dishwashers who clean the tables too…
RESPECT the hourly workers.
One lovely lady named “Vivian” needs recognition for the outstanding job.
She pleasantly brightens everyone’s day with her greetings suggesting “FRESH
squeezed orange juice”…
or FRESH pot of coffee.
She remembers everyone’s name and knows exactly what the regular customers over 90+ yrs old are ready to ask for…Plates served within minutes from the ready window to keep the breakfast hot and ready to enjoy.
When air conditioning needs attention, she quick to fix the problem….
Way to go, Vivian !!!

Great atmosphere and great service. But the food lacked . Cornbeef hash tastes old and bland, and the breakfast quesadilla was awful. Also tried a blueberry lemonade that tasted like nothing but syrup. My waitress was friendly and attentive tho. I won’t be back.

I stopped at the Original House of Pancakes during our trip to Florida, and the food was absolutely delicious but what really made our experience outstanding was our server, Viviana She had amazing customer service, was warm and caring, and made us feel right at home. She checked in often, had great conversation with us about the food, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does! Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Viviana she will make your meal even better.

The blueberry pancakes were hard and rubbery. The opposite of soft fluffy pancakes that you would expect at a pancake house. I did not eat them and ordered a scrambled egg which was perfect. We also had a waffle which was fine.
