A Burger King Miracle: How One Manager Turned My Nightmare Day into a Heartwarming Memory
My RV has been in the shop for two months—endless delays, zero communication. Then my dog falls critically ill. I rush him to the ER vet in Gainesville, an hour away. It’s 3 PM. No RV update. My dog’s being sedated for tests. I haven’t eaten all day.
I step out for food and pick this Burger King—something told me to go inside, not drive-thru.
The young lady at the counter is all smiles. “Check your fish sandwich wrapper before you eat,” she says with a wink.
I get to my truck, look at it… and there’s a little hand-drawn fish with the words “Just Keep Swimming.”
My heart explodes. Tears. Laughter. A grin I haven’t felt in weeks.
I march back in to thank whoever did it. Turns out: the manager.
I ask to snap a photo of his crew. They’re beaming—happy, proud, alive. That’s not luck. That’s leadership.
To the owner: Don’t lose this manager. Don’t lose this crew. They’re gold.
To everyone else: Stop by this Burger King. Support them. Because sometimes, a $5 sandwich and a doodle on a wrapper can save a Marine’s soul.
Customer service isn’t king here—it’s the whole kingdom.

This is by far the cleanest and nicest Burger King I’ve ever been to. While we were waiting for a chocolate shake, we watched them making burgers through the window and they were so clean and meticulous. It made me want to eat one myself. The manager was also extremely nice and thorough when taking our order the restrooms and restaurant were also very clean And when we were leaving, we saw the manager doing a walk-through outside to check on the cleanliness of the store you can tell the general manager cares very much about the quality of the food and service people are receiving at this location. It was greatly appreciated, and my mom loved the chocolate shake.

Was the only vehicle in the drive thru. Paid for my order was quick then when I went to the other window to get my order I waited for almost 15 mins for my food with nobody coming to the window to inform me that I might be taking a bit longer or what not. I assume the manager was there wearing red shirt and a couple other employees were there and came by the window and didn’t even acknowledge I was there. I know places get busy but just let people know what’s going on with a simple update.

This place was absolutely spotless. Even the windowsills are clean. We entered and my wife’s first comment was “it smells clean in here”. Not only was the cleanliness fenomenal, but the staff was marvelous. Great service. Super kind, generous, and courteous. The manager very kind. Service was also fast and efficient. 10/10. Wish I lived here to come more often.

My wife and children and myself love this Burger King it is clean and the food is really good they have the best burgers. The staff is completely friendly and helpful and polite. The prices are good it’s in a great location and the bathrooms are really clean as well. You want a great burger at a good price for families this is the place to go. A+ in my book

I think there were only 3 workers that were doing their best but took forever to get our food. Woman bringing out food ( because there was a long line of people waiting) “argued” with my husband that the single meal was our order. We had 3 meals. Burgers barely warm. No apology for wait just a “I wanted to make sure you got fresh fries” poor customer communication. We were on a long road trip and very frustrating to wait 25 mins for “fast”food

I have to say out of all the Burger Kings in Gainesville, this is probably the best one. Great food and great service. I really can’t say anything bad about it! Most of the other burger kings the food is not fresh, but here is really good.

I am sad to report, that this Burger King location can no longer be called fast food. I went inside and had to wait 22 minutes to receive my order. The clerk at the counter had to also work the auto booth, and gather the food into bags. He stated they are short staffed. Fast food restaurants are going to have to pay a living wage, or face staffing issues, and a loss of business.

Came through the drive thru around 6:50. There was nobody in the drive thru and nobody inside the restaurant yet for some reason I still had to wait 6 minutes to hear any signs of life through the speaker. Paid for my order at 6:55 and the girl that did the transaction left, peek inside and my order is sitting on the counter with nobody in sight. Recieved my order at 7:04, everything was cold and the cheesy tots I ordered where stale and cold that tells me those were just sitting there already made a while ago. I can see why this location is never full, not even at peak lunch time.
