The steak was absolutely perfect. The lobster fettuccine was awesome. The Cram Burly ( which I saw on another review…should be Creme Brulee) was horrible. It had zero taste and the texture was definitely not right. The service was horrible as well. I had to ask for a soda refill 3 times, it was never offered. The server walked by me 5 times while my glass was empty and never offered to refill it.
Bottom line: the food is great but the service suck….although they did give us a 15% off coupon for our next dessert

The patio door was open for our evening event (not sure why it was) which made the room cold. However the environment was great, the food was good, and the ambiance was nice. Will consider this restaurant again when I am in Santa Fe again during future Legislative sessions.

The food itself is good. The calamari is delicious, and I liked the prime rib, but the service was lacking due to some rather lengthy wait times throughout the entire meal. They explained that there was an unexpected rush and made it right with us though.

Wow, what happened to Rio Chama? We went last night. We had steaks, loaded mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The steaks were terrible cuts of meat, with large chunks of fat. Potatoes were maybe – over cooked or had been sitting there all day – gluey and brownish, even cheese and bacon didn’t help. The creamed spinach was tasteless and sticky. We always used to enjoy a good meal at Rio Chama, but we probably won’t be returning. Service was terrible and the place was empty!

Rio Chama was a perfect location for a large private dinner presentation. Their downstairs dining room (elevator accessible) was beautifully decorated. The food was phenomenal and service was professional and efficient. We will be back!

Excellent entrees, good appetizers and desserts. Above average service from all staff. Very comfortable, upscale but casual atmosphere. Semi private seating nooks. Tight parking lot behind the restaurant. Located right next to the Roundhouse.
Personally while I enjoyed the boar bacon appetizer it appeared to be easily available products from local stores. So… it felt a tad lacking somehow. I didn’t care for the personality of our waiter but he did a fairly good job. The cocktails and wine were great. The salmon dinner with lobster sauce was incredibly delicious. Everybody liked their food. The blackened steak was spicy hot. I will also add that of all the side dishes, the baked potato was not hot or fresh in texture. I will return and look forward to trying the elk entree. Birthday = free dessert. Or If you bring in a cake of your own, they charge a $15 cake cutting fee.

Nice steakhouse inside the casino. Prices are reasonable. Steak has nice char marks. The sides are great too. Easy to fill up on the great appetizers and the bread.

Scenery was okay but not excellent, how do reservation and seated way in the back?A party of nine. We didn’t get service until like thirty minutes and almost two hours to get our food . Food is way to expensive with no side. Mix Drinks are $15 small. The waiter was nice, but we will not be back being that the bill was $800.

We had been to Rio Chama twice before and we loved the food and service. Figured we would splurge on a nice dinner for my birthday. We were so disappointed. We paid atotal of $260 including tip for cold food, undercooked steak, and bad service. The waiter, Manager, and staff kept walking by us and never offered to refill our drinks or take our dirty plates. I placed our dirty plates on the edge of the table and 30 min later the hostess offered to take some. Left some behind. We were never offered water or refills, had to ask for it twice. Cheese fondue was cold, was told they had no skewers “so use your forks.” The calamari was cold and soggy. Mind you our appetizers took 25 minutes to come out. Was charged for refills on our cokes (steak alone was $56 each, I think free refills on soft drinks should be a given). Ordered 2 medim-well steaks and they came back medium-rare, we had to send them back. Mac n cheese and creamed spinach was cold and bland. We heard the manager tell another table their runner had burnt herself and had to go home so they were short staffed. We tried to be empathic so we didn’t complain and were kind and courteous to our visibly-stressed waiter who was very polite and waiting on 4 tables two of which were large groups. However, for the amount of money we paid, we really expected to at least have our food served hot. Never coming back here again; Texas Roadhouse provides better service, consistently-cooked sizzling-hot steaks, for a fraction of the cost.

My first time there. The Waitress was awesome very nice and attentive. My food was great but the Desserts was not good at all and there was 7 of us. They need a Professional Baker that makes Fresh stuff. The brownies was hard and the Cramburly was terrible BAD.
