I had the angel hair with tomato’s and basil sauce and dinner salad. The salad wasn’t special and I had enough pasta for 4. I couldn’t take the leftovers because we are staying at a hotel. I hate wasting food. My husband had the piccata which came with a side of spaghetti. Again, a lot of food. We skipped dessert and coffee because of the loud atmosphere. We went back to the hotel for a quiet after dinner drink.
If you want a relaxing place to eat, this isn’t the place.
• I ordered the panzerotti, something I hadn’t found in Arizona before, and it was absolutely amazing.
• My son had the pepperoni pizza, which was equally fantastic—the sauce had incredible flavor, the pepperoni was spot-on, and the mozzarella was delicious.
The service was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was packed, we walked up and asked for a three-top, and the staff kindly told us to hold tight—they managed to squeeze us in. It was clear that reservations are probably preferred on weekends, but the team handled the crowd with grace.
Everything—food, drinks, service, and atmosphere—was top-notch. This is one of those locally owned Tucson gems that deserves more recognition. Busy for a reason, and we’ll definitely be back frequently.
Highly recommend Gavi Pizzeria!
Service? Outstanding!
Atmosphere? Way too loud…the acoustics reflect the conversations of every patron in the establishment.
Overall, dinner was delicious and our server, Johnny, provided Outstanding service for my wife and I.
We will be back to you their other dishes. I had the cioppino and my wife had the chicken formation. Both were great. Also had the antipasto board which was ample and had a great variety of meats, olives, cheese and other items on it. We came home with leftovers of all dishes order. They even brought Birthday Gelato for my wife (we were celebrating her birthday).
Great dinner. Great menu (we’ll be back to try other dishes). The martinis were also great.
Piazza Gavi delivered an excellent dining experience. I ordered the veal parm, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The wine recommendation from our server was spot-on and paired beautifully with the meal.
What really stood out was the service: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. Easily some of the best service I’ve had. Highly recommend—this is a place I’ll be returning to.
Waiter was perfectly fine, kept checking on us at reasonable intervals.
The food was incredible and the portions very large – a “cup” of the spicy lentil soup could feed 3 – I took the leftover portion home and had it for lunch for 2 days.
The ravioli was great as well and looked/tasted fresh made and not previously frozen – there were 4 on the plate and each almost the size of a baseball.
We live in OV, so it’s about 40 minutes or so, but we’d certainly come back.
Oh, and the Happy Hour drinks are super cheap – Vodka mixed drink was $4.
