When I went there was only one other table occupied. It was a weekday afternoon. We were served a cold baked potato with our meals and it was promptly replaced. The fish was kinda bland but the portions were good. The husppies were ok but shaped loke an onion ring. I was expecting better but wasn’t completely disappointed with the food.

Crab – shrimp dip was very good, but not enough pita slices for the size served. Catfish, sea scallops, and jumbo shrimp good. Breading heavier than on some Calabash style cooking. Catfish was excellent. Shrimp and scallops slightly overcooked but good. Service good and order delivered reasonably fast.Sweet tea moderately strong and sweet. Enjoyed it.

I ordered take out while at work one day. Once i got back to my job and open my food to eat, this is the baked potato they gave me. When i opened it, the dirt from the potatoe fell on my shrimp. I threw it all away. I didn’t have time to go back up there i tried to call but was put on hold and they never came back to the phone.

Awesome food priced reasonable. Great atmosphere and our server was great as well. We had an awesome experience there. It was our first time but won’t be the last. (I had the grilled jumbo shrimp and my husband had the grilled sea scallops, both were delicious!)

This was my first trip to any Mayflower restaurant in over a decade! A lot has changed (they are pretty skimpy on the popcorn shrimp now), but the portion sizes were decent overall (take a look at this flounder!! So big, it completely covered up my hush puppies!)….the fish was very crispy, but it could have used seasoning. Past what’s in the batter, the meat underneath was so bla-…doesn’t deserve the “-nd”… The server and service were very good tho, and yes, they do offer military discount, but only on regularly priced items (not what I had). I’d order the same meal again tho (whole flounder and shrimp special, $14.99), but I’d definitely splurge and pay the extra 0.50 for salt n pepper seasoning…. I think that’s what was written on the menu…

Mayflower seafood is a great place for fried fish. The plates are large and the fish is very fresh. It’s very close to Seymour Johnson AFB and the service is fast. The shrimp are small but they give you a bunch of them, and the cocktail sauce really brings out the flavor in the batter coating. The hushpuppies look a bit like onion rings and they’re excellent. Great food at a great value. Definitely recommend it.

Very quiet lovely brought me my food nice and hot and I’m more I ate on it the more sleep I seen it’s like the plate will fall asleep the bread was nice and warm and butter waitress was nice and sweet and good manners I did not had to add salt or pepper it was perfect

The tallest lady employee in the take out was very, very rude with lousy personal service. A lady was setting outside when I arrived having car trouble, she asked this rude lady if she could sit inside and eat her food until AAA arrived, she told her no. That employee was rude to her also. The other employee asked her to come and sit inside and she told her no, by this time she was highly pissed. I personally told this employee she had lousy personal service. I prefer not to have future contact with your rude employee. Also asked for baked sweet potato but was given a white potatoe.

The quality of the scallops I used to love has decreased and the prices have increased significantly. I used to go several times a month to enjoy shrimp and scallops but had to find other places that give me better value for my money.
