Cozy, casual, family-diner-style, with really great food. Went for breakfast and had the Cowboy Scramble. The homemade biscuit was HUGE. Kind, attentive workers. Not the best diner in the entire work but I’d definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

Server was super nice. Food was just delicious. I saw a video review online and decided to drive the 72 miles out to try. Worth every mile. Really glad we did. My tummy is full and heart is warm. Thank you Mr T’s café for a wonderful experience.

If you’re hungry, this is the breakfast spot. The portions are HUGE ! Like, show-up-starving huge! And every single bite was packed with flavor. The plates come out stacked high, hot, and absolutely loaded.
Everything tasted fresh and homemade, not rushed or skimpy at all. The pancakes were massive, the breakfast plates were overflowing, and the value for the portion size is unreal.
Service was friendly and fast, even with how busy it was, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. This is the kind of place you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Went to Mr. T’s for breakfast and it was fantastic! The food is hearty, delicious, and the portion sizes are huge—definitely a great value. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich with a side of gravy (for dipping) and french fries. The service was also quick and friendly, making for a perfect start to our day. Highly recommend this local gem!

Mr. T has the very best pancakes I have ever tasted! They are truly cake like not the standard stuff served from a food truck. One pancake covers an 11 inch plate! I couldn’t eat it all because it was so large. I couldn’t imagine eating more than one. All the food is served hot not like under a heating light too. Won’t be disappointed here.

I’m going to be a little brutal because it’s high-quality house made corned beef. I got the corned beef hash. The corned beef was in larger cubes and had an almost boiled texture and look. It also wasn’t a hash it was corned beef with onions and green peppers. The coffee was great and kept coming….
That said, it still tasted good. Also, the eggs over med were perfect, and the rye toast was thick and delicious. The coffee was very good and the waitress was very attentive.

Disappointing! Thought based on reviews that the food would be great. I had to blot the grease off my plate before I could eat my Omlette. Chicken fried steak was hard & dry & it was recommended! Service was slooow! The restaurant was empty. Got seated right away with water & menus. Waited over 5 min to order & to even get coffee. Waitstaff was sitting in a chair by front door when we left…won’t return again.

Mr. T’s has been a staple around Mount Vernon. For a very long time, as far as I can remember. They serve really good food and big portions. Even though in the years past the portions have gotten smaller, but they still are big enough to put you to sleep.. The only knock is. It is a small a restaurant, so you gotta go early or late or just miss peak time in general. You will love it
