When I saw The Pizza Bar pop up on Facebook, I knew I had to try it. I also know that when a new restaurant opens, not everything goes perfectly right away, so we decided to wait a few weeks before giving it a shot, and I’m so glad we did!
We arrived around 7:20 on a Wednesday night, and it was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and fast. We got our drinks quickly, and our mozzarella sticks came out soon after, perfectly crispy, full of cheese, and that dipping sauce slapped.
We ordered a smaller Chicken Alfredo pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The cheese was amazing, the flavor was spot-on, and everything came out hot and fresh.
Even with how busy they were, we were in and out in under an hour, which is super impressive for a dine-in pizza spot.
Overall, everything was perfect, great food, quick service, and prices that were even better than expected. Definitely give this place a try, they know how to make a pizza!

We ordered the garlic knots, they are delicious! Pizza is awesome! It is very loud in the restaurant, which makes it hard to talk, or hear what the waitress was saying. They have not been open very long, and are trying to get a good rhythm going. It is taking about an hour or so to get the Pizza. It is worth the wait!

I’m not one to usually complain about places as I know the food industry is not easy but my husband and I were seated and the wait to sit down was only about 10 minutes but when we got seated we waited forever for a server to come and get our drink order. We also ordered an appetizer that took forever to come out and when my husband and I bit into the fried ravioli there was little to bo cheese in the middle. The pizza was good but nothing amazing. Between the wait time and hospitality I’m not sure that I would come back unfortunately. I was super excited to try this place to so it’s disappointing that we didn’t have a good experience:(

Cheese curds. Cheese curds. Cheese curds. Get them. So good! We have the 14” TONYS pizza and it was plenty for 2 people. Definitely a good place to go for some bar style pizza. Pizza is almost solid 8.6 out of 10 for me. We also stopped by another day and grabbed a slice of the lasagna pizza and it was probably better than the Tonys.

So excited to finally have a great pizza spot open right here in Pleasant Hill! NY Pizza Bar is exactly what our area needed — a fun, welcoming place serving up truly delicious pizza. It’s been awesome to see how busy they’ve been since opening — a great sign that the community feels the same way!
Even with the crowds, the service was absolutely top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient despite the rush. The food quality was excellent — every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

The food was really good…but even better was the server! Aleena was AMAZING for our table! We had a large party and she interacted SO well with our children. She was very attentive and made sure to check back on us often. We were so impressed by how great she was for us! 10 stars for Aleena!

Whether you go for a classic Margherita, a loaded pepperoni, or one of their creative specials, you honestly can’t go wrong.
The bar side is just as impressive, with a great selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Their signature drinks pair perfectly with the food, and the bartenders really know their stuff.

I was in town for some work training and was looking for a good place to grab a slice. I heard about this place just opening from some of the locals, all of which spoke highly of it. Its in the middle of Iowa, but the locals kept saying it was NY pizza. As a person having spent a significant amount of my life in the city and having been blessed with some of the greatest slices in the world, I was skeptical to say the least. On arrival, the place was very well adorned and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive and we didnt wait long for anything. All of the staff, to include an attractive lady whom I believed was the owner made sure our large group was taken care of. Now to the food. Top notch. The garlic knots and sauce were perfectly done, still soft in the center with a buttery outer shell. I ordered the Tony and this Pie was amazing. The crust was thin but held its form, the sauce was potent in a good way working well with the meats. The cheese was a perfect balance to both the crust and toppings. All of it was perfectly prepared and immediately brought back memories of Alba’s pizzeria on Ditmars. This is truly a solod slice of NY in the middle of America and I recommend this place with the greatest level of confidence that you will also love it.

We were finally able to get in to try this new addition to Pleasant Hill. It was very busy….congrats to the team. Our food and service were very good. The bartender let us know upfront we would have a wait for our pizza. Fortunately we were not in a hurry. I would like to give this team some grace as they learn to manage the crowds and demand. Pleasant Hill really needs these restaurants to survive. Hopefully they find a solution in getting the food out more timely.
They are definitely worth a try. Nice diverse menu. Large beer selection although tiz the season for dark craft beer. . Hope they can add more options on tap. WELCOME. Glad you chose Pleasant Hill.
