Stopped by the large ice cream cone display here in Ackley to pick up a cold sweet treat on a hot summer day! The worker at the stand was very friendly and helped us understand the options they had available. I ordered the strawberry cone and was very pleased to see a 7 inch tall ice cream mound when it was ready! The portion size was great for the cost, and the ice cream was delicious. It’s a great place to go for a nice cheap outing.

We’re so glad we gave this unexpected place a try. Although it’s an awkward building and we weren’t sure about the system (to seat ourselves, or whether to bring up our ticket someplace), it’s such a low key Mom & Pop style diner with kind service and generous portions of amazing American flare food at incredible prices, that we can’t wait to come back for the All-Day breakfast!
