When my 13 year old suggested the Wee tea room for a Birthday Brunch for me, I thought it was a perfect idea. The aesthetic was right up our alley. We drove all the way from Dover on a Saturday just to find out, we needed a reservation. Even though we didn’t have one, I appreciate how accommodating they were. I am in a wheelchair, and seating in the lobby area turned out to be a great Choice for me after all. My Mother, Myself, and My Daughter had a wonderful time. The tea was Delicious!!! The food, and desserts we had were delicious as well!!! My daughter couldn’t have picked a better place to spend my Birthday. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we have decided to make this a monthly event. The service from Management, to the waitress was an absolute pleasure. I’m certain I smiled the entire time. Thank you Wee Tea Room!!!

Had a wonderful experience for my daughters sweet 16. This was a great way to introduce the young men to fancy tea time as well. And they all loved it!

Amazing tea experience! I had a wonderful time with my mom. Food and tea was top notch! And our waitress was lovely.

The only complaint that ruined our experience and hence the 2-star rating is the woman at the front reception/cash register desk was speaking to people behind us in line when we actually entered the establishment first. Mind you, my mom and I are women of color and we felt ignored. The receptionist made no eye contact with us until I spoke up boldly that I already had a reservation, and I wasn’t simply a walk-in. We expected better customer service upon being greeted.

Really enjoyed the food and the decor. Could tell everything was homemade. Also could tell the assemble the sandwiches to order as opposed to sitting assembled in the fridge. The bread pudding dessert was my favorite. The chicken salad on the raisin bread is delicious. As were the rest. Scones were delicious, texture is more like cake but very yummy. I had the strawberry cream tea and it was tasty.

BEAUTIFUL, to say the least! I had my Baby Shower here and people could not stop telling me how beautiful it was (& I agree)! The photos we took came out stunning…pretty in pink vibes. The built in photo props with the pink bench, phone booth, etc were absolutely amazing and so fabulous that they were there and ready for us! Food and tea were delicious and put together to appear as lovely as they tasted. Mini sandwiches were a hit! Our cake and cupcakes looked adorable with the cute table settings available. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked, minus the need for infant changing tables I would say they were perfect. I would totally recommend this as a special occasion venue or afternoon tea time spot! I can’t wait to come back!

I was so excited to find out about this place. Definitely a hidden gem!! After trying to make reservations for my daughter’s and l, in Maryland and not having any luck, I extended the perimeters and SO glad I did!!! We had the most enjoyable experience. The food was awesome, the tea was BEYOND exceptional, and staff very down to earth and helpful. I recommend this for a ladies afternoon social gathering. You won’t regret it!! There’s plenty of room, also.

My wife and I enjoy the afternoon tea experience and have visited tea rooms all over the country. Wee Fancy Tea was wonderful. It was our first Delaware tea room, and it did not disappoint. We started with the charcuterie boards, which had fresh fruit cheese, crackers, and bread. The highlight for us was the whipped berry cream cheese topped with craisins, nuts, and honey. My favorite tea was Strawberry Cream. We loved that the pot was placed on a warmer to keep our tea hot, but we did not like that we had to strain it as we poured it into our cup. Tea tastes bitter if it steeps too long. The last cup of every pot was not as good as the first. The standout sandwiche for me was the roast beef with chedder and apricot jam. I would not have thought of this delicious combination on my own. I also love chicken salad on cinnamon raisins bread. The sandwiches, however, were mostly standard for a tea room, but the desserts were outstanding. I loved every single one. The tea menu was not very large, but there were plenty of teas to choose from. One important note is that you can change the tea flavor without a charge if you order a menu item with bottomless tea. So you can try a few flavors when you visit, and I recommend that you visit soon.

Updated review 8/3/24:
I would again stress that this location is adorable with good food, but expect to be rushed.
I made a reservation for 7, and was told we would need to be seated at a table for 6. They then instead offered to seat us at a table for 10. We got seated, started getting situated and were then asked if we could move to the table for 6 and a table for two since they had a party of 20 arriving in 90 minutes.
We were also reminded of the 90 minute time limit.
I have a difficult time understanding the need for a reservation if you cannot accommodate the table size or making people feel uncomfortable or unwelcome by insisting that they rush for a larger party coming in.
I’d love to come back and will be giving them another chance toward the end of the month, but it may be the last, which is a shame.

Prior review: 5 stars for the adorable decor and food. The food was pretty good, but nothing spectacular aside from the scones which were amazing. The variety of tea was lovely.
I do wish that the Princess Tea had options for kids allergic to nuts. (The Princess Tea currently comes with either PB&J or Nutella sandwiches.) They happily accommodated though and switched the sandwiches for a baguette.
It should also be noted that when we showed up, the person at the front desk explained that reservations and time at your table should be limited to 90 minutes. This left is feeling slightly rushed and I wish we had known that when we made the reservation. We were able to finish in plenty of time, but did feel people hovering.
I would definitely return, but with different expectations.

Stopped by on a whim. Super cute and the staff was so welcoming! They made sure I had a good time despite there being a large group planned for that day – tucked me into a quieter area that I much preferred. Their fresh made soup of the day was delicious and the tea set up superb. Will def come back again with my family.
