This was great pizza the best we have had in the area. My favorite was the hot pepperoni and the house ranch. The garlic knots are not to be missed though it had the right amount of garlic and cheese.

This is one of the best pizza places I’ve ever been to and I’m from New York. First off they’ve got some solid ’70s soccer playing and these guys all look like Bob Ross. Efficient operations where you can walk up and order pizza to go or to stay as well as a separate bar area. Vibe’s dope, awesome lighting and music. Outdoor patio. Best part is the pizza though. Being a Brooklyn native, I’m a huge pizza snob, and frankly my experience with pizza in Atlanta has been underwhelming to say the least. I’ve seen that some places in the city tend to lean on the size of their pizzas as almost a gimmick, however their crust is typically bland and the pizza lacks character.
I’m so glad to now have Brainwave in my life to satisfy my pizza cravings. Their crust is sourdough, making it exceptionally flavorful and their topping options are unique and delicious. Their pizza is also pretty affordable, much cheaper than places nearby. My friend was able to get two slices of cheese for $8, which was a great value for an entire meal.
They also offer bar pies and Detroit pan pizzas as well, though I’m partial to the classic New York slice as that’s what I grew up on.
I’ve been in 5-6 times now and I was surprised to see any negative reviews as I believe this place is a true hidden gem. I’ll be eating here as much as I can until Portnoy shows up and there’s a line out the door!

I got the hot pepperoni. Pizza was crispy (I didn’t taste the sour dough flavor), the sauce was good, saltiness of the pepperoni with the hot honey was the perfect balance. Good seating for dining and great for larger groups.

I was skeptical and boy was I wrong. The normal pie was very good. Toppings were solid. Cheese was nothing crazy but it was well baked.
Square pie is a lot of bread but again, baked well and very tasty. Both pizzas weren’t too greasy and had a lot of flavor.

Genuinely amazing and authentic New York pizza in Decatur. Finding a vodka slice in Georgia is already rare, but finding one that’s this good is unheard of. The crust/dough was amazing and so was the sauce. I only wish the basil was added after it was in the oven so it was more flavorful, but I can’t complain.

Brain Wave is a MUST visit! The pizza is absolutely delicious. Order the Vodka pie, you won’t regret it. Great place to hang for the night as Inner Voice Brewing is in the same space!

Amazing vibe, even better pizza. No one is doing bar pies in Atlanta these days, and BW is not only doing them, but crushing them. Unbelievably thin and crispy, exactly what I wanted. Their classic slices are also great, highly recommend if you’re looking for more of a New York slice.
