KJ’s in the heart of Downtown Ventura’s pedestrian only Main Street has a full bar, excellent cocktails, an extraordinary menu and the best live music in town five nights a week. On the Main Stage Inside we have everything from Classic Country , Jazz, Rock and Roll and Emo. Acoustic solos, duos and trios on the patio stage on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Our staff is friendly and always professional.

We ended up here last minute after our original reservation elsewhere fell through, and honestly… it felt like it was meant to be.
From the moment I called, the owner was incredibly accommodating. He fit in my whole party short notice, set up extra accommodations for us and made the whole process feel seamless — no stress, just genuine hospitality.
When we arrived, everything was handled beautifully. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel completely taken care of despite the last-minute nature of our booking. You would never have known we weren’t planned into the schedule.
It could have been a chaotic evening, but they turned it into such a positive experience. We’re so grateful they were able to host us and will absolutely be back!

I like to clarify an error about the restaurant I am giving the review. The restaurant I am referring it calls BARREL 33 in Ventura Ca. This place is amazing. My friends and I we were having a get away weekend to Ventura area. . I was looking for a place to eat and I come across with Barrel 33 with a wonderful reviews. I decided to call and made a reservation. Food it was exquisite. Beautiful presentation. The atmosphere beautiful. It felt like you are having dinner with your friends in the backyard of your own house. Wine delicious. Parfait the owner is very nice and attentive. He welcomed us with a friendly face. He is very professional. We were very pleased. With a big YES I do recommend this restaurant it is a MUST!

Such a special experience at KJ’s! I love little local gems like this that bring community together in a chill, unpretentious way. If you’re looking have a great time with good peoples and bomb pizza by-the-slice, come thru! Karaoke nights are lit!

First time to The Twist on Main. The bartender Bree was exceptionally friendly, and greeted us with a smile. My husband ordered the Lavendertini. It was smooth with the perfect essence of lavender. I wanted something sweet and savory and was not sure what I wanted. Bree surprised me with a Peanut Butter martini. It was dessert in a glass. Delicious and exactly what I wanted. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We came to see my nephew sing , it was our first time here , bartender was very rude , didn’t know the specials very well , asked her a bunch of questions she was clueless , food was not the greatest! Had pizza , there is not much of a variety . No waiters , no one cleaning the tables .. no one checking up if you need more water or drinks … this is not the pace to having out .. they need a better routine !

This restaurant occupies the space where Grapes and Hops used to be. We ate outside but from what I could see of the inside the decor isn’t changed that much. The menu is vastly different: much more streamlined, for both food and drinks. Ever item on the menu sounded delicious and we were very impressed with what we ordered. Like many places on Main Street they are super dog friendly, with water bowls available.

Really wanted to like this place, wanted to sit outside and enjoy a drink and listen to some music on a beautiful Saturday afternoon but the musicians had it SOOOO LOUD that made it impossible to enjoy. My girlfriend and I had to leave after one song. So much for atmosphere!
