If you’re looking for an automated tasting room, this is a great little place to visit in downtown Fredericksburg. They have a beautiful outdoor courtyard and then they have a cellar area for seating. They have a huge variety of wines from all around the world that you can try different sizes of glasses in. It’s really a great feature and the owner was telling me about a class. He wanted to start on winetasting and has some great ideas for future activities. I think it’s a great little place and we will definitely be Stopping here every time we’re in downtown Fredericksburg.

I love this place! I always want to come here when visiting Fredericksburg. We never have a problem finding street parking. You get a card and load it and once you pick your wine, you side your card in and pick your pour size. They have some food – flatbreads and charcuterie. We ordered hummus once and it was pretty good.

We loved most of the wines abs the staff is super friendly. Cute outside and basement area too. Some light music and not too loud. Great to visit at any time.

Curio Wine Bar is fantastic!!! I went to a wine and cheese pairing last week and had such a fun experience. Our host and owner, Johnny, was knowledgeable about both the wine and the cheese (and very proud of his diploma ). The self-serve wine system is a great way to explore different wines, and the tasting was thoughtfully curated. Cozy atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and a really great time. Definitely worth a visit—I’ll be back!

Ended up here to celebrate some drinks before a birthday dinner and so glad we did. Such a cool concept to try unique wines and self served with the cool concept of loading a card up and seeing what you’re in the mood for. Warm ambiance and friendly staff. We will be back.

3rd time here – great for grabbing drinks and light apps before dinner! We love the vibe of this place and they always have sangrias on tap that they switch up! Had the Butter Board which had a red pepper butter and a lemon thyme butter which was amazing. Recommend putting more bread on the board but it was so good. And Brie in the middle was a really good Brie!! The wine tap experience we’ve never done but it’s what they’re known for and it’s fun to see all the wines – next time will try that!

Always a great time. The concept is simple, load your card, get a glass, pick your wine, put your card in the card slot, place your glass, and select the pour size. The hardest part is picking a wine! You can get small plates and bottles to go. They frequently have thematically chosen wines for their wine classes that are available and featured for the month. My favorite part is they are owned by a local winery and always have their own wines available by the glass and generally to go!

We had such a lovely time at Curio! A very calm, relaxing atmosphere with tons of wines to choose from. You get a card and can load it up with any amount of $$$. It allows you to explore the wines, try out samples, and serve yourself. My favorite reds were the France Cotes De Rhône and the California Cab Sav. They also have nice options for bites, our favorite was the flatbread!! Delicious. I think this spot is going to do very well

I drove past curio so many times before I had the chance to finally come in a month ago. Since then I’ve been back multiple times! It is becoming my favorite spot in town. The 1oz taste option is great for people like me who have FOMO, because you can literally try every wine and you don’t have to commit to a whole glass or bottle. And it’s fun to come back and try the same wines with different food to see if the taste changes. It’s also a great place to meet new people! I’ve come alone before with the intention of reading my book, and then ended up talking with a group of strangers! Now I’m spending my evening here reading and drinking the Serial Cab Sav. The staff is so wonderful and friendly. They make you feel welcome and always have great suggestions. Try it out you won’t be disappointed!
