I have not been home to PA in 15 years. I had decades old cravings. I needed my wife to know why I’m such a fan of real old school PA food. I ordered from these guys on a whim and was home. I ordered again in an hour with a small special request based on my childhood food memories. They freaking nailed it. My Oregon wife now gets it completely. We are here for 12 more hours and I may order again..subs and cheesesteaks are fire. Get some! Load em up. Double meat and cheese…trust me. Worth the $.

My go to spot for authentic affordable ($11 at the time of this review) Philly travel cheesesteaks close to the airport. They double wrap them and place them in a bag with a cardboard bottom to protect the steaks. They hold up really well for flying whether you put them in a suitcase or carry them with you. Go here and not to Jim’s inside the airport, those steaks are overpriced and watery and don’t live up to real Jim’s quality and quantity of food.

Went here based on the reviews and it is not what it was made up to be. First – this place is a dive. Half the store is the kitchen and the other half is a beer cooler that serves a lot of 20’s to patrons staggering in off the street. There are 5 laminate booths and two are taken up with boxes of merchandise.
The cheesesteak is ok. Not a lot of meat but the roll is good. The fries are alright.
Also, this is a pretty shady area of town. Keep your eyes open.

My husband and I were in town visiting our son. This was definitely an authentic cheese steak. My son had the mushroom and hubby and I shared a mushroom and added hot/sweet peppers with Swiss cheese. My husband is GF and they made ours in a bowl with lettuce and tomato. We also ordered curly fries. Everything was delish and seasoned nicely. Looks like a party store, but step inside and eat in or take-out. It was a great way to begin our Philly visit.
