A huge thank you to Trap Door Washougal for welcoming our Veterans Gathering, giving us our own space, and contributing to the night — your support truly made a difference.
The Bluegrass music was a hit, the food was amazing, and of course the beer is top notch!
Several of the veterans shared that this was exactly the kind of gathering they’ve been looking for — relaxed, genuine, delicious food, great beer, and space for camaraderie.
Looking forward to planing our next gathering. THANK YOU TRAP DOOR!

When it comes to Washougal, we seem to have limited choices for places to go and eat which is why we are so thankful to have such an awesome place as Trap Door. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm smile and friendly customer service. We love to sit at the bar top, easier for ordering. I think we have tried just about everything on the food menu and it’s all so good. I love their pizza and the wedge salad is top notch. What makes a place special is the people who work there, the staff is always so friendly and kind. We try to go here once a week because we enjoy it so much. I cannot recommend this place enough

We live in Washougal and we love going here for a quick bite to eat or a quick date night! We can bring the dog and eat outside or just grab a bite to eat inside. For bar food, it’s pretty yummy! I like the pizza and they always have a nice variety.

Trap Door is a good neighborhood eatery. The seating area was small and you order at the bar. My wife ordered the Mediterranean salad. The presentation was excellent though she wished it would have had a bit more flavor. She ended up adding salt to it. My daughter ordered the chicken and pesto sandwich that she liked very much. I had been recommended the pizza by a friend so I ordered pepperoni black olive and jalapeno. It was good. Not life-changing, but enjoyable. They have a pretty good selection of beer. I was able to find a stout that was one of the best I’ve had in the while. My wife ordered the one cider they had. It’s a good place if you’re in the neighborhood. Check out my profile for more great eateries and craft cocktail bars. ✌

Dropped in after a Gorge hike and had a great experience! There is an extensive tap list and the beer is high quality. On a hot day, the Lite Beam lager will take care of you. For a tropical hazy IPA experience, try the Nelson to Maui hazy IPA.
If you’re hungry, I can vouch for the pizza!

First time here, after getting our Xmas tree from Washougal Tree Farm further up the river. Nice big booths, great atmosphere, super nice staff, and the food was very good. I forgot to take pictures but I got the pear and brie melt, we got a cheese pizza for the rest of the family, tried the beer cheese fondue that comes with really good bread and pear slices on the side, and garlic knots. My brother got the cheese pizza with Kalamata olives, and his wife got the burrata salad. Husband got a Mexican lager and brother got a hazy IPA, both easy drinking. All of it very tasty.
They have water on a tap for self service, and games to play at the table if you want. There is an upcoming wine tasting and sale before Xmas that I am looking forward to.
No problem parking at lunchtime on a Saturday.

Very casual, low key atmosphere, tons of beer to chose from and hard liquor! Food was not your typical bar food and they deliver a good product. But if your a meat lover like me you will find the menu very limited! Having lived here for 22 years I have seen multiple businesses fail at this location. But if you’re looking for a good beer this might be the right place for you! I had the Chicken sandwich and the cheese was over powering and way too thick for my taste. Service was quick from the time we ordered to the delivery of our food, extremely impressive!

I’ve have been out to this locations a number of times for a quick pint but decided to bring the family in after a day of hiking in the gorge. The beer couldn’t get any better than this and they have good to match! Everyone is always so friendly and just a great atmosphere to relax and enjoy a couple of pints.

Update: still excellent! Have been here countless times. The entire drink menu looks great, and all the food I’ve had has been great. It’s such a sweet local spot, with the wait staff knowing most of the people at the bar by name. Definitely check the website for the most up to date menu, but I’ll continue updating on here with ones that are new when I go!
The only thing I’m mad about is the fact I didn’t come in here sooner. This is the best food I’ve had in Washougal and I’m not even being dramatic! We eat out a fair bit, from dive bars to 5 star restaurants and yet nothing I’ve had from this spot has been any less than 10/10. Rarely do I order food and have nothing I’d change about it, but THIS is the exception. Their menu is small but all the food is excellent. So excellent that I late night ordered a calzone (not much open late in this area) and went back the next day for more.
The sausage and pepperoni calzone was perfectly cheesy, not overly bready, and clearly high quality ingredients.
The next day, the fondue was fabulous and the Italian grinder sandwich… well, it’s now my favorite. The bread on it is great, and I’m a major critic. The Cadillac margarita also was top notch.
I wouldn’t hesitate to order anything on their menu, nor any of their drinks. This is definitely my new Washougal spot!
A note – their menu changes regularly it seems like. Check online, but also call if there’s a single dish you NEED because even the online one wasn’t 100% up to date.

Tried Trap Door for the first time a couple months ago. The drinks were great, bartender wasn’t shy to pour a fair drink.
Food was interesting. You order at the counter and they brought it to the table. Kinda “half” table service. Food was good bar food, we’d go again.
Price was fair. Tables were a bit limited but it appears to be a great place to sit outside in the summer.
