This is a very unique and fun place to eat, with a nice, casual atmosphere and great outdoor seating. But perhaps the best is part is the awesome food, it exceeded our expectations. I had lunch here for the first time the other day and the burger was quite honestly the best I had in a long time. Seriously. The Pickle Plate was fantastic as well.

We enjoyed our first of many visits to Backyard! The owner was very accommodating to us before and during our visit. The food was awesome! We went for Sunday brunch and had the burrito, breakfast tacos, and hash browns. All were very good. He gave us a cookie for the road and it was most certainly the most delicious chocolate chip cookie we ever tasted. We can’t wait to come back when we are camping in Westport this summer!

Food is amazing – American fare, apps etc. Beer and wine. Amazing vibe. Laid back local bar, great music. Owner is a great guy. Yard is comfy with its own bar in season and small igloos with ambient fire place to heat. So cozy in the winter! Great date night or just to relax and have good food and drink. I love this place!! You should really get here!

This is one of my favorite places to visit in town. The Got Pickles burger is absolutely delicious. At times the service can be slow due to it being a scratch kitchen, however, it is absolutely worth the wait. Service has always been top notch as well. I love that it’s dog friendly as well!

I got pickled in Westport. I started with a pickle plate sampler. This really nicely presented pickle smorgasbord was filled with dill pickles, dilly beans, sweet/spicy pickle chips, and pickled onions
This was followed with a got pickles burger. The buns were beautiful toasted and the secret sauce rivals any secret sauce…if it was poker, I would be “Raising” it above “Clown” sauce…Might have to wrassle about being better than a “Chik”…I rank it solidly as Raising Clown Pickle Chik as the order. The only complaint is that it soooooooooo much burger…but fatty me ate the whole thing!

Drove here with my family after my wife found this place. Service was excellent, food was delicious.(Breakfast burrito is the best I’ve had in awhile) They serve speedwell coffee as well. Drove 45 mins and was worth the drive. We will be back. Nathan was very accommodating and this place is a must try if in the area or a drive for good food and coffee.

Great place to stop for a burger and beer after hiking through Copicut. Literally seated behind the bar in the backyard. Tables and high tops and an outdoor bar. Corn hole and a few other games out on the lawn. Dog friendly too

Stopped in for a quick, yummy lunch with a friend! Great casual spot. I’ve seen many restaurants in this location come and go, but none with such excellent marketing. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the chicken caesar salad, both of which were delicious!
I highly recommend getting the fries “backyard style” with seasoning, white bbq, and pickles. This is a great restaurant for pickle lovers!

Return trip to the Backyard in Westport. Today I headed over for some breakfast. Went with a Latte and the breakfast tacos. Thought they were great. Went with eggs over easy, probably would do over hard next time. Previously stopped in for some lunch. Greeted by a super friendly Sarah. Had a Hudson North Cider at the bar which seats 6 to 8. Went with the fried chicken sandwich and handcut fries. Sandwich was great. Super crispy, moist in the inside and flavorfull. Fries were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Came with pickles and pickled onions which were great as well. Sampled the Speedwell coffee as well and it was great. Need a follow-up for a burger.
