Flavor is good, but that’s only important if there are enough ingredients in your food besides rice…. Only two pieces of broccoli and three pieces of onions. And a few shrimp Sad for the ratings. Expensive for the meal. I feel bad for the employees who are probably paid less per hour than the price of one meal of this quality. Brought up my constructive criticism to the hostess and nothing was done to help.

The food here is fantastic! I recently tried their new Halloween roll and it has been my favorite I’ve had, I hope they keep it on the menu. This place has delicious food that won’t disappoint!

Very delicious food!! Never tried hibachi or sushi, but this was delicious! I have a red meat allergy and they accommodated that! That is very rare. Thank you and we will definitely be back!

Can’t say about atmosphere. I DD. It was really good. Hot. Well I don’t live far from it. But far enough not to walk for it. Lol. I have tried the Hibachi Steak a few times. and The Hibachi Shrimp. So delicious. I’m glad it’s here. I don’t do sushi. But this is awesome.

We stopped by and had dinner at Katana, Buena Vista’s Japanese restaurant that opened recently. It checked all of my boxes for a perfect score: 1) food was great 2) portions were not only generous in size, but also generous with the meat, and 3) the owners were super friendly and we had a wonderful time chatting with them. We had the Hibachi fried rice with scallops and the chicken with noodles, both cooked to a five star perfection!

Stopped in here today for the first time with my dad. I can say I’m honestly glad BV got a place like this. Not a huge menu, you have to order up front, and it felt a little awkward at first, but the food was a lot better than expected. I love that its not the same old ribs, steak, subs, or bbq. It’s a great little change from the other restaurants in town. I would love to this place continue to grow. The place definitely has huge potential. The food is reasonably priced, and was hot, which seems to be an issue for some other restaurants in the area. Like others have said it’s not much to look at, but there’s definitely not much to complain about either. We will happily be back. Please keep up the great work!

Great small town hibachi style restaurant. Simple atmosphere, and they are just getting started in the building. Great, hot, and fresh hibachi.

South California Roll is one of my favorite go-to meals! Love Katana and their consistently fantastic service. Everything I’ve tried on their menu is amazing. The noodles are also so delicious and prices are great. Constantly recommending their sushi to everyone I can.

I think this place is primarily takeout, but we were passing through for work, so we ate in. I had read prior reviews warning me that the place looked a little rough, so I wasn’t immediately scared off. It’s an odd place for sure, but it’s clean. The sushi was EXCELLENT. Hopefully you enjoy a mix of J-Pop and Maroon 5, because you’ll hear a lot of it. As long as I haven’t updated this review in the next couple hours, you’ll know it was fresh too!
UPDATE – I kept it all down! No stomach issues whatsoever. This place is a gem!

Do Not Be Fooled by the atmosphere… you must stop and enjoy this hidden treasure. We drove up and were not sure we should stop. The building doesn’t look like a sushi place… walking in didn’t help… but we were feeling adventurous, so we stayed.
You order at the counter and then go sit down. The food was brought out in To-Go containers, but what was inside the containers blew our minds.
We each got a different roll, some edamame, and some Rangoon. We shared our three rolls and the rest… It was delicious. Highly recommend Katana if you are in the mood for good sushi
