Apparently some of the best breakfast burritos are in a hotel? So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their chile verde pork burrito and potatoes pave to try. The potatoes were beautifully layered, crispy, and well seasoned. The burrito had a decently chewy tortilla with a good amount of meat and eggs. Their potatoes were also in there and added an extra yummy crispy texture in the burrito. I also added some avocado which was more like an avocado salsa and it added an extra brightness and creaminess to everything. They also gave me a bunch of sauces and salsas that paired really well with both the potatoes and burrito. Added a nice bright contrast. The green one surprisingly tasted like marinara, the red one was like a tomatillo flavor, but my fave was this creamy aioli one. None of them were very spicy tho. Definitely a satisfying burrito that you’re sad to get to the last bites of cuz this place is pretty good.

I think this could be one of the better breakfast burritos throughout LA but between staff and execution of the burrito, there were too many misses.

I placed an ordered online maybe 10 minutes before arriving and it was ready a few minutes after I walked in.

However, when I walked in and stood at the cashier, the two girls working did not acknowledge me, ask if I needed help, greet me, anything. They both seemed to be scrambling to hand off prior orders which I don’t have a problem at all waiting for my turn, but it was pretty much one handing off the bag of food to the other then handing it to the customer. They both didn’t need to do one person’s job.

Once they acknowledged me they had my order on the pick-up shelf.

It’s a hefty burrito and filled will. But for $17 it hardly had any cheese, and the bare minimum aioli or sour cream was at the last few bites of the burrito, not evenly dispersed.

The bacon was super crunchy, the potatoes were very crispy, the eggs were a bit dry, and overall the flavor was solid. But the side salsa sucked.

A few missed that would make me return to give them another chance and hope for better results.

Good spot for breakfast burritos. A little pricey and I wish the portion was bigger, but the burritos are definitely good. The green salsa is very mild. Ask for red for more spice. Simple interior with a few stools for seating.

Service was good. Friendly staff. Street parking or there’s a structure around the block on Mentor Ave.

Thanks to Kristie Hang’s IG reel for sharing this breakfast burrito spot! It’s located inside the Pasadena Hotel, which is a beautiful building.

Parking: You can park in the hotel parking structure (B1, B2, and 2nd level), then enter via elevator. There’s metered/paid street parking along Colorado Blvd. Bbad has a street-level entrance as well.

Food: I got the chile verde burrito $17, which has slow-cooked pork. It is on the salty side, especially as I got down to the end of the other side of the burrito. I chose to get scrambled eggs. The potato wedges inside were crispy! I highly recommend eating this while still hot otherwise the potato’s will be soggy. They gave me 3 different sauces to try. None of them were spicy. The brown one was pretty good. Forks and knives and napkins are on the bench/counter. Limited indoor seating here, but you can take the food to the hotel lobby or courtyard.

You can order via one of the two kiosks. On a weekday afternoon there was no line, but I did see that they had take out orders on their shelves.

Credit card/touch pay only (via kiosk).
Hotel has free WiFi.
Hotel has bathroom.

This burrito is worth the $17. Get it how it comes. Don’t let the sour cream deter you. Just get it. Those pave Potaoes will change your life.

I got a veganized version of their regular breakfast burrito last week. There was no actual replacement for the egg they put on their regular burritos, just a “sub avocado” option that really meant they added a soupy guacamole to the burrito. Instead they really needed to increase the amount of potatoes they gave to offset the missing bulk from the egg because those were delicious. Their mushroom chorizo was really tasty but it was drowned out by soooo much sauce. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because of how amazing this breakfast burrito could have been if it was made properly, but I won’t be going back to spend $17 for one burrito to see if they took my advice.

Man. I hate when people say things like “the best I ever had”, because it 97% of the time isn’t true. Maybe my expectations were low because were just waking up and trying to survive, but my wife and I ordered the verde chili breakfast burrito and were pleasantly surprised at how gd delicious it was. The potatoes were created in Gods image, the pork was moi, and for once in my life I did not care about cheese-to-burrito ratio (as much). This is considered a win in my eyes. Im glad we came. I would post photos but the burrito is gone gone.

So far this is one of my 2 favorite burrito places. In Pasadena . I enjoy the food and the best part is you could chill and enjoy it at the hotel lobby. Bring your laptop and make it a day. Staff at the restaurant and hotel are super chill. And will bring it out to your table at the lobby.

Free Parking with validation !

Easy to walked threw from parking area

Nice outdoor patio or pay a fee by the pool area on the rooftop.

Clean and reasonably priced food.

Good service and great food.

Decent size and flavor, but 100% not worth the price. I tried the chile verde burrito and it had decent flavor but was also pretty oily and I would prefer it to be spicier. There are better burritos at better prices in Pasadena, but bbad could be a nice “one n’ done” if you want to try something different.

Amazing breakfast burrito!! So yummy, fresh, and super filling. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and Jack made me a lovely horchata latte! The courtyard is a beautiful and serene place to eat and there are clean bathrooms in the hotel to use.
