It’s definitely one of the best places left for Sicilian food. The food here is super delicious, preserving the original flavors, style, and taste of its origin. Service is friendly and on point . The rice ball special is everything.
Iykyk panel is severed here, and it’s done perfectly. I’ve been enjoying this place since I’m a kid. Stop by and treat yourself before it’s gone .

Awesome spot. I ordered calamari, pane panelle, and a chicken parm hero. It was delicious. They truly carry the tastes and recipes used in Palermo. I’ve had a few of the “Sicilian” spots in NYC and they’re at the top. The staff is actually Sicilian, and even the menu is in Sicilian. This is a proper spot to go if you’re missing a taste of home. 10/10 recommend.

The restaurant is located in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. They prepare Italian cuisine. They have tables for dining-in and servers. I ordered a rice ball. It was small and not much larger than a mini-rice ball. The filet of fish was flounder with some tomato on the top. It included a choice of several vegetables. I chose the fried cauliflower. The food was average in taste and flavor. My order totalled approximately $30 and was higher than similar food in other restaurants.

Finally made it to Joe’s for lunch… We ordered the octopus salad.. Fried calamari.. baked clams.. panelle and seafood linguini.. all items were fresh and delicious. Service perhaps could’ve been quicker but I didn’t care.. well worth the trip here. Old school joint in the italian holdout of Ave U.

Dropped by this place to grab a bite before work and found it to be a really nice spot for some good Italian standards. I’ve since visited a few times and enjoyed items such as stuffed artichoke, chicken parmigiana sandwich, arancini, and more. Definitely a reliable place for a hearty meal and friendly service.

The only place to get authentic Sicilian food and a real “Sicilian street food” experience. I had a fantastic panelle sandwich….Italian chickpea fritter with fresh ricotta topped with a melted hard cheese! I have been looking for this particular dish (a real Sicilian street food) for a very long time. It was exquisitely superb! Apparently its one of their many specialities. I will be back to this place, and i highly recommend it to any real foodie.

Great Sicilian and other Italian American dishes. The panelle special is an incredibly great yet simple treat. The eggplant is great; it’s not breaded and admittedly that’s a personal preference of mine. The octopus salad is out of this world. Always fresh. I never have trouble parking and the F train is right outside as well.

Been few years in between visits. Solid delicious home style food. Nothing had changed in 50 years. We knew exactly what we wanted in a real old school place, rice ball special, pannele special which is chick peas ricotta and more shredded parm on a roll. Had caponata which was spot on. Waitress was real sharp, never wrote a thing down and got us everything. Shared a chicken parm hero, oh yeah the Italian bread is the best in the city , hands down. Put this place up against any Italian place around. 2 items we didn’t have this time are staples of the place , pasta con sardi & a vastende sandwich, don’t ask just try them both, buon appetite

A large tasty menu. We started out with the house Merlot We decided to have salad and appetizers for dinner and it was very good. We had the potato croquettes, house salad eggplant campanata And stuffed artichoke which was huge. Everything was tasty. Service was superb. Tartufo for dessert was refreshing and delicious!

Has been coming here for years as a family and mostly order the same things. The food simple, but good. (The only disappointment is the $10 credit card fee that was added during or after covid..)
