It was ok. The outer shell wasn’t crisp or flaky. Inside bread part had a huge gap. Bought the bread at noon, which should have stayed crisp. Not sure if I bought day old. That was the texture.
While the strawberry latte i got was good, I did not like the croissant sandwich that they made. I ordered the one with egg, avocado, tomato. It was mushy and not tasty at all. I should have asked for a refund. I have had croissant sandwiches before and this one was very disappointing.
Mayor Jarvis treated all to yummy treats from the case and everyone loved their pastries!
Be sure to visit soon and say “hello” to Breanna and her welcoming staff. It’s great having a bakery in Woodinville at last!
Little seating inside, with some outside as well. There are different goods inside, however they certainly have the premium price tag. Ambiance is quaint, but not a sit down and socialize kind of place in my opinion. Overall, would love to come stop by for a coffee again.
There’s a barista there who is phenomenal—they’re all good, but she stands out. After weeks of not stopping in, she remembered my order. Not only that, she had it ready for me before I reached the front of the line. She’s fast, works solo during busy mornings, and still makes one of the best decaf cortados I’ve had anywhere.
And while you’re waiting for your coffee? You get to browse a shop full of beautifully curated, one-of-a-kind things. There’s always something new—something clever or beautiful or unexpected. You can tell someone behind the scenes has a real eye.
The food? Equally special. You can see the bakers working in the kitchen—there’s something really grounding and wonderful about that. Everything feels made with care, from the ingredients to the presentation.
And the people? That’s where Tarte really shines. One time, I left my wallet behind. I was flying out early the next morning and panicked when I realized it after they’d closed. I called the restaurant next door (same owners), and a staff member there went way above and beyond—tracking down the shift crew, finding where it had been stashed for safekeeping, and meeting me after hours to return it. He even refused a tip. That kind of kindness and trustworthiness is rare—and says so much about the culture this place has built.
This is more than just a coffee shop or bakery. It’s a business that cares—about its coffee, its food, its people, and its customers. Tarte has heart, and it shows.
