My family (consisting of 3 people) were seating fairly quickly, but it took 20 minutes for them to take our DRINK orders. The water was nasty tap water and when i asked for bottled water, they claimed not to have any. Another 30 minutes pass and they still havent taken our food order yet. When they do, it takes another 30 minutes to get it and majority of the order was WRONG!!!! The food was mediocre at best. As a diner only a few minutes away from a family friendly farm with activities during the fall, they should have much better service.

Growing up I went to this diner coutless times, but unfortunately now I don’t think i will be going back. My last visit we waited at the door for a few minutes with no line and virtually no cuwtomers inside, just staring at pretty much empty pastry displays waiting to be seated. Got seated and then waited for the people who came after us to have their order taken before we were even approached. Food was OK but nothing special. We finished eating and had a nice long conversation to pass the time waiting to get the bill. Finally I went to the cashier asking for the bill and their excuse was that she didn’t want to bother us because “she saw us still eating”…THERE WERE NO PLATES ON OUR TABLE! So I get the total and go to grab my debit card and the owner immediately scorns “NO CREDIT CARDS!” I let him know it was fine I would just pay cash and he seemed sour the entire time. Frankly this place has been getting more expensive and less quality for years now. I mean the last 3 times I went there in the past year the same brown leak stained ceiling tiles still hadn’t been replaced! The bill for 2 regular breakfast and 1 small side was over $30!!!!!!! I just think this place has no appeal at all anymore, which is tragic because it was a staple in my life growing up.

I give this 1 star because I can’t give zero. The service was horrible even though there were only 2 other tables. The place was dirty the food is over priced. We got a roast beef sandwich and they gave us 3 slices of meat on it. I got the deluxe and had to ask them to bring the pickle and coleslaw which tasted like fish (I ordered chicken) the French fries were burnt and under cooked at the same time. The bathroom.changing table is a small shelf that can barley hold a purse next to the sink so its wet. And the bathroom door only opens 1/4 way.I have no clue how this place is still in business it should be shut down.

Went there for lunch and had a good shrimp sandwich on a whole wheat bread which was fresh and not too heavy. The tuna salad wrap was just OK as well as the onion rings. The water though has a strong taste of chlorine and it’s hard to drink.

USED to be great but recently (2017) it’s really bad. I used to get perfect Eggs Benedict but now, the eggs are well done and when I ask for very well done fries, they come soggy. Service sucks, and apparently there is a new owner and a new chef; and the old owner helps at the register. Probably more for show. Waitresses are walking around doing nothing while we’re waiting to get served, What’s up with that? Well, they’d all better look for another job. I’m not going back there.

This was the dirtiest Diner I have ever been in. The waitress was extremely rude. The ceiling tiles we’re falling down, and so were the light fixtures. Our shoes were sticking to the floor. Avoid this Diner. It’s better to go hungry than to go there

I gave it 1 star because it was the lowest I can give. We went for brunch. They were out of several basic things from the menu. We ordered coffee and the waitress told us to share the spoon because they were out. Then came with an iced tea spoon and said here this should work. Then when the food came the waitress had dirt under her nails like she had possibly been doing mechanic work and couldn’t get clean. NEVER AGAIN!

We arrived at the diner and were nicely approached. The woman came to our table and we ordered two waters. She brought back the waters fairly fast and the person I came with had come to find there were seeds and a bunch of other unknown substances floating in his water. She apologized when we asked for another, she then came back to the table 10 minutes later… and brought us two bottled waters instead. We then ordered very simple meals mine a bagel with cream cheese and a side of home fries and my boyfriend ordered a hamburger medium rare. She came back twenty five minutes later with just my bagel that already had cream cheese messily slabbed onto it and burnt. “They burned it” she said. I looked at her confused because this is all she had brought me and my boyfriend out and she knew it wasn’t right. She proceeded to say she would get me another and when she brought it out ten minutes later along with the other food we were a little shocked. The homefries had a spit like consistency, almost like baked ziti cheese whenever I lifted it off the plate.. and my boyfriends hamburger was basically raw in the center. When we were ready to pay it took fifteen minutes for their card machine to work and it apparently wasn’t the first time. The place is kind of dead and according to other reviews has been getting worse. They seem short of staff, and customers at this point. They definitely need help because apparently they used to be very very good.

Very upsetting. After exploring montauk me and the other people I were with were starving. Coming across the “princess diner” we entered the diner. We’re seated, but then proceeded to wait for aprox. 15 minutes before anyone even took our beverage order.. the man who served us was excellnt and running around between 4 tables. There were 5 total, the “waitress” rhat was working had a very poor attitude and was extremely rude from what we could hear. Food was decent, but was extremely over priced for the overall quality of the meal. All in all, if you’re desperate give it a chance.

The diner is a staple for me & my family! We each have our favorite dish! From reubens, tuna melts, awesome omelettes OH can’t forget their Greek salad best on LI! If u haven’t tried it I highly suggest it!
