This place deserves all of the 5s it has received.
I was served by a very friendly, knowledgeable and patient attendant at the front window.
The chef greeted customers with kindness, even when requesting extra attention to the number of shrimp are found in the rice. Lol
I was impressed by the open-for-feedback atmosphere created by the owner. She was attentive and honestly kind, especially while handling customers with personal preferences for everything.
The fried flounder and okra perloe rice was simply DELICIOUS.

Let’s talk about it. Five stars. From the perfectly fried shrimp, the flavorful batter on the fried crabs & fish, the impeccable geechie sauce, the creamiest Alfredo, the meatloaf that’ll have you missing grandma’s house…. Everything is just five stars. The seafood critters are like mini filled hush puppies. Super blessed to be a continuous returning customer! The love felt from the customer service is always genuine. I truly love Tater’s! I will always support and recommend this black owned business. 10/10 best macaroni and red rice in the city. You literally have to try it for yourself! No disappointments!

Hi just wanted to share some feedback with you. I ordered a lot of food from you today (3/29) 4 orders 1/2 of crabs, we drove from Myrtle Beach as we do often to eat your food. Today’s order was a little disappointing we just got home to eat and a lot of our crabs were not cleaned making it hard for us to fully enjoy them. We have pictures of the crabs and some we didn’t even eat afraid they weren’t cleaned as well. We hope that you can make this right we spend well over on 2 orders $200 the order name was M. Graham.

I actually discovered this place on line. The thing that originally stood out the most was they have a dish called Geechi Egg Rolls. So as I began to check into it I saw this egg roll was made with shrimp, sausage, and crab. I immediately had to try this. Then other things started coming off the menu at me. They had deep fried crabs. Along with a Geechi fried rice. They also offered up delicious Soul Food to complement the Sea Food. Then if these Geechi Rolls wasn’t enough….they blew my mind with Deep Fried Turkey Wings…. O.M.G out of this world good…. I was so pleasantly surprised. Who would’ve ever thought in this secret hideaway would be an awesome hidden gem like Tater’s. The food, the customer service, the atmosphere ALL on point. What I admire more then that is this place is held down by a group of sisters. They get in there every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and make it happen baby…. I love my black people, we will find a way…. and when the food you bring is this good too….thats an unbeatable combination. More people need to come out and support this establishment it is definitely worth it. My hat is off and my belly is full. To two of the strongest forces on earth, Africa Americans, and Women….THANK YOU….

This place was highly rated on TikTok. I wanted to love it as we were excited to try it based on the reviews but we were sadly disappointed. The service was good, it’s take out only, which we knew before visiting. It took about 25 minutes from the time we ordered to receiving our food. I ordered the fried whiting, fried shrimp, rice, mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was not good. It was baked good, but the combo of cheese left a terrible aftertaste. I could tell the fish batter was seasoned but the actual fish was not. However, the shrimp and rice were great. Both had great flavor! We also tried the seafood fritters, which were good but a bit greasy. The sauce that comes with it was really good. The low country egg role was awful. I could not even finish it. It had crab or lobster (can’t remember), chopped potatoes and corn. Also each egg role is $7. That’s pretty expensive to me. My husband had fish and shrimp with mac and fried okra. The okra was placed under the fish so it was soggy. Overall, I’d rate it a 4/10. I think with a few changes this place could be much better. Just wanted to share in case anyone plans to visit soon and wanted a true experience.

The food was good. My wife found this place on tik tok. She had the fried whiting, Mac n cheese, red rice, and fried crab. She said the fried crab was absolutely delicious. The fried fish was good. The Mac n cheese had something sprinkled on it. Once we got past the toppings it was pretty good. The grilled shrimp was cool. I didn’t care for the rice but it was edible. The only bad thing was it was take out only, so we had to drive back to the hotel and eat.

I came from out of town from Florida to visit Taters from their TikTok views. I ordered 2 orders of 6 wings and fries and a whiting and fries which was not hitting! The lady that took the order had dreads and the other was skinny with a ponytail they were rude as ever!! They messed up the order which was extra simple and was mad they had to fix it! The customer service was terrible!!! Never going back!!!

Easily a 10-star meal. Fall off the bone oxtails, insanely creamy mac & cheese, perfectly cooked cabbage, sweet cornbread, and the pineapple lemonade tied it all together. 10/10 will be back
