Extremely rude service. We were told to be at the restaurant exactly at a given time or we wouldn’t be served. We showed up ten minutes early for our seating time, paid for parking, and then were told that the previous seating was delayed. We waited and did as we were told, and then were told that the previous group was still eating and that we were now going to be delayed for another twenty minutes, beyond when we could make a backup plan for dinner. We ended up having to leave for another restaurant without even an offer of rebooking or any comps to make the wait worth our while. We will not be returning.

It was okay. We came in about 10 minutes early, first service of the night and the waitress said she would come back and get a drink order ready but never came back. During the service we had to wave down the waitress multiple times to get a drink in. I also had to pull her aside and tell her about the promo they were running that I noted in the reservation. Sushi was great and sushi guys were great but everything else was pretty basic. For the price, I would not come back.

Visited a friend who moved out here from NY, was eager to try this location on my visit. They do not disappoint ! The rewards program really does pay dividends!

Sushi by Bou is omakase done right, come to SLC.

My wife and I jumped on for “opening night” and loved the experience. The staff is super attentive. The drinks were wonderful. And the sushi really is second to none in Utah right now. Chef Daniel was super skillful and talked us through each dish, while also just being a fun guy to chat with.

I spent quite a few nights at the original Bou in NYC some years ago and I’m so excited that they’ve made it all the way to SLC. And, even better, they’ve managed to hold on to what made the Sushi by Bou experience so fun.

Definitely leapfrogs to the top spot on my list of favorite sushi spots in SLC. Can’t wait to return.

Plenty of impressive riffs on the Edomae style of sushi in the new Sushi by Bou location in the intimate speakeasy of the Peery Hotel.

The 12-piece omakase is timed so that each uniquely crafted bite fits in at a comfortable pace to the end of the experience (30-minute and 60-minute slots available for reservation).

Expect an elevated tasting sampler that offers creative twists with some fusion ingredients which produce pleasant surprises.

Forget the chopsticks, and use your hands.

Pickled ginger is a palate cleanser and don’t go looking for soy sauce or wasabi.
