I’ve ordered from this restaurant many times through DoorDash, and the bangus is always a 10/10. The deboning is exceptional, and the marinade enhances the natural flavor without overpowering the fish—unlike other Filipino restaurants. Size and price of the bangus is very reasonable.
I hope they sell frozen bangus so we can gift it(haven’t ask if they do) for others to try.
However, my first time ordering Platter #1 was disappointing. The tocino and tapa, though tender, tasted almost the same. While one seemed soy-based and the other sweet, the flavors were barely distinguishable. There was also a stale, overused-oil like aftertaste that took away from the dish. I felt like the supermarket bought frozen one was better.
I do hope they can improve their marination as I have yet to find a place that serves authentic tapa and tocino.
Oh, pls DON’T FORGET to order and try their GARLIC RICE! Not too oily and not too dry.
I ordered their crispy pork, fried bangus, Kare kare, & they were all on point. The pork was still crispy and flavorful especially with the lechon sauce. The fried bangus was seasoned and cooked perfectly with the right amount of tang. The kare kare was also good with the bagoong. I tried their white sauces chicken, I forgot the name and it was ok. I think I ate too much of the other stuff and got too full to really appreciate it.
I’d definitely come back here again because there is so much more on the menu to try. I highly recommend this spot for authentic Filipino food that’s served “chipotle style.”
I really wanted to like this place but the prices are inflated usually, for $14 you can get 2 entrées and rice but this is just the price for breakfast. For an extra $1 you can get a lunch combo which is substantially more bang for your buck.
Consider other options for breakfast but the lunch items look yummy. 7am is too early to have lunch items out that long. Unless, they have a ton of customers that order lunch items for breakfast. The fried fish and eggs were typical but I was surprised that the garlic fried rice had crunchy pieces. Ok ok, I know its fried and it should be crunchy but it tasted as tho some of the rice didn’t fully cook, like when one doesn’t add enough rice, the top part is a bit dry and undercooked.
But because it’s so small, there’s some customer so disturbing by keep talking. and make you want not to eat. as dine in. Hopefully people still be respectful even that’s your countrymen.
