This place is a MUST for a Cajun food stop!I got the fish platter and a side of onion rings. Their steak fries are delicious & seasoned, the fish has a unique, more flaky batter, and the onion rings will make you slap your mama right there.
The seasoning on all is spot-on for Cajun food- VERY flavorful, and leaves a little kick in your mouth afterward.
Hubby got a cup of crawfish etoufee and loved it. I think we could’ve ordered anything and loved it.
Not a fancy restaurant, but perfect for family, casual date night, or a gathering of friends. They even have an outdoor porch eating area.
We’re lucky to have this little hidden gem in Zachary!

Cute little restaurant in Zachary. Love the live edge tables. Service was friendly. Food was good bordering in great. Shrimp were not cleaned on the Grilled Shrimp with Veggies (Also asked for easy butter and the plate had way more than desired) but tasty. The Shrimp Po Boy was delicious! ORDER THE ROOM APP…BUT BECAREFUL THEY ARE HOT INSIDE!

Everything was seasoned to perfection, made in a timely manner, with excellent customer service.
The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars, was the cold onion rings… but they were still delicious. I was on a time crunch, so I couldn’t have them remade.

Decor is minimum. TVs for sport fans.
Ordered pork chop sandwich, onion rings, roast beef sandwich and a cup of etouffee. The sandwiches were large. Pork chop had great crunch; however, after taste was off and we could not figure out the spice. The roast beef was divine but the bread fell apart and I ate it with a fork and knife. Onion rings were decent and so were the fries. Etouffee was pretty good. The roast beef by itself is wonderful!!

Stopped in on a whim. Glad we did. While not the biggest selection of food, what they do have is fantastic!
I had the Blackenzola burger with fries, my wife had the crabcake sandwich.
Man, that was a big burger! Lettuce, tomato, pickle, bacon and more!
Staff was super friendly, always checking in on us and the service was quick.
Glad we came and we will be back!

Ordered to-go and used the drive-up window. My food was ready at their time estimate (30 minutes) while being busy inside. This order was the bowl of seafood gumbo & a 1/2 shrimp po’boy with steak fries. The seafood gumbo was seasoned to perfection. I like that they separated the rice & gumbo for the to-go order. The po’boy bread was amazing & shrimp seasoned & fried just right. Good size shrimp used. The steak fries were good, but only half had the seasoning. Overall delicious, will order from hot tails regularly.

Once again… two first responders looking for a good meal close to home and utter disappointment. How can someone get a salad wrong!?! The salads we ordered were greasy and soggy. Hardly any lettuce and not what was advertised. Very disappointed. Attached are the sensation salad and the blackened shrimp salad. They both looked a mess. Then we paid $70 for this!

I’ve gotten the catfish Poboy a few times and it’s always really good, but I’ve gotten ignored waiting at the register to order a few times as the waitresses walk past me and avoid eye contact. Not a very welcoming environment but the catfish poboys are good and always fresh/hot.
