How to ruin a chef’s otherwise great food? With completely disorganized service.

Everything started well but two hours we had only been served our starter. The soup arrived after asking for it, but 30 minutes after we finished it we had to go to the counter ourselves to ask for the main course. Even getting water meant carrying our bottles to the counter. Why don’t you look for these little things when serving the food?

By the time the mains came, the restaurant was closing, and plates were being cleared away before one of us had even finished eating.

Around us, tables stayed dirty and chairs were left scattered, despite plenty of staff walking past. The one right next to us stood uncleared for an hour!

It felt like there were lots of people working, but no one actually in charge. Too many young staff without direction or leadership.

The food was very good – creative east-meets-west twists, large portions, and great flavors – but the lack of organization turned what should have been a great evening into a frustrating one.

This is hands down the best Thai restaurant in Copenhagen! The owner, Khun Juk (whose name is also the restaurant’s name), is truly Thai and takes care of the place, his team, and the customers with such warmth and friendliness.

The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a lovely outdoor area for the summer. If you’re brave enough, you can even request the food to be cooked at authentic Thai spice levels (be warned—it’s seriously hot!).

The dishes are absolutely delicious, with genuine Thai flavors that are not a “tourist versions.” Everything tastes authentic, and the ingredients are fresh and high quality.

On top of that, the staff are super friendly (and all of them look great, too!). It’s an amazing spot I would highly recommend—definitely worth visiting!

Not a bad place. Overall, the food was tasty except for the octopus which was rubbery. The service was friendly but slow and you have to catch the waiters. If they came to us more often, we would have drunk and eaten much more. But at some point we got tired of constantly looking out for the staff running by.

This is, without a doubt, the best Thai food I know.

Me and my family have been coming to this restaurant for many, many years, and that really says it all. Every single visit is amazing – the food is always delicious, the atmosphere welcoming, and the experience never disappoints.

We always choose the set menu. The starters are definitely the highlight. The food are absolutely fantastic and something we genuinely look forward to every time.

The service is always kind and attentive, and the owner is truly the sweetest. You can tell he has been running this place for many, many years and puts his heart into it. It honestly feels like coming “home” whenever we walk through the door.

Don’t skip dessert – especially the homemade ice cream and pancakes, which is such a perfect ending to the meal.

Even though the menu has stayed the same throughout the years, that’s part of what makes this place so special. It’s reliable, authentic, and consistently excellent.

We keep coming back again and again, and we cannot recommend this place enough

This was a lovely experience. The people are very nice and the area out back is such a nice place to enjoy a meal. The food was good but not excellent. I fear the lobster was frozen as it had no taste, only watery. Other food was better and would try again. The chicken satay was very good.

A calm little oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Nyhavn… delicious food and ambience inside is calming. Perfect dinner spot after a long day of sight seeing

Fell short of giving it 5 stars as the outdoor sitting ambience and decor could have been approved.. felt very cheap looking compared to the indoor area

We visited Khun Juk restaurant last Saturday, and in all honesty, our experience was remarkable. It was truly that remarkable that for the first time (as one can probably see) I felt the need to write a review for a restaurant.

From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance, which clearly reflected thoughtful attention to every detail. The décor was simply beautiful, creating an atmosphere where you immediately feel comfortable and welcomed.

But what truly set this place apart was the exceptional food. Having previously lived in Copenhagen and dined at numerous restaurants across the city, I can confidently say that Khun Juk offered the best culinary experience I’ve ever had here. Every dish we ordered was absolutely fabolous, for us it was clear that great care and expertise went into preparing each meal and you could feel the passion. I genuinely cannot recommend the food highly enough.

Moreover, the service was outstanding. The staff’s passion for their work was evident in every interaction—they were attentive, warm, and genuinely enthusiastic. After meeting Khun Juk himself, we realized that this exceptional hospitality was not accidental but driven by genuine passion, love, and care. This is the kind of heartfelt hospitality that makes dining out an absolute joy.

Even something as simple as the restrooms reflected the overall excellence of the restaurant—spotlessly clean and beautifully designed. I feel like mentioning restrooms in a review truly says a lot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and could not have chosen a better place to spend our last day in Copenhagen. Khun Juk has undoubtedly become our favourit restaurant, and we look forward to returning every time we are back in the city. If you’re in Copenhagen, do yourself a favor and experience this wonderful restaurant— we absolutely feel like this is a must-visit!

A hidden gem in a back alley at Nyhavn you find this nice Thai restaurant.
Such a lovely atmosphere. The food was a bit pricy but Waoo ut was so delicious and tasty. It was not like turist Thai food but real authentic. The decor was amazing and we had a great dinner and couldn’t eat more even though it tasted so good. My advice would be to share a lot of starters instead of going with a starter and a main. Especially the 6 plate tasting starter is amazing.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, expecting authentic Thai food, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet that expectation. The dishes looked like Thai cuisine, but the taste and quality didn’t feel truly authentic.

The service was hit or miss—some waiters were friendly, while others weren’t as welcoming. Overall, my experience was okay, but not outstanding. I’d give it a 4-star rating at most.

The food at Khun Juk, a Thai restaurant, was fair in taste. However, when I visited, the waiting time for food was quite long about 1.5 to 2 hours.
