We went here for an early dinner and it was really nice. The atmosphere was very cool with wooden and iron furniture and plush booth seating. It was extremely comfortable. Our server, Jenna, was fantastic. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. She made us feel very welcome.
The mango margarita was very good and came in a cool glass.
The chips were nice, thin and crispy and the salsa had gold flavour with just a little heat. I had the cheese enchilada and ground beef taco combo plate. The ground beef taco has good flavours with a nice crispy shell. The cheese enchilada was good as well with a nice red sauce. The rice has an ok flavour and the beans could use a little more flavour as well.
My wife had the 3 street tacos which were two asada and one shrimp. She says they were really tasty. It came with a great and spicy hot sauce.
We finished with dessert being the churros drizzled with carmel sauce and tres de leche ice cream.
Over all it was a good experience and we liked it. We’ll be coming back soon.

Very modern, clean, and agreeable to a Mexican style restaurant. Friendly service, plenty of seating options. Menu easy to read.

Tucked-Away Treasure Worth Finding!

We stumbled across Mas Bella Restaurant & Lounge while exploring a little corner of a shopping mall near the Adventist medical building and Sequoia Sandwich Company — it’s hidden between the two, so keep your eyes peeled!

Walking in, we were greeted with a spacious and clean dining area, with good vibes all around. The bar and dining sections are separate, which we liked. We came in on a weekday right when they opened, and the host/waiter (working solo!) was super friendly and very attentive — props to him for holding it down!

Chips and salsa hit the table right away — the chips were warm and crisp, and the salsa was chunky, flavorful, and just the right kind of zesty. Off to a good start!

We ordered the Mas Bella burrito with chicken and the build-your-own combo with two chicken tacos. Both came with rice and beans, and both were delicious. The tacos were simple — just lettuce and cheese, no onion or cilantro — but the tortillas were extra fresh and soft, and that made a big difference. The burrito was smothered in cheesy, saucy goodness — absolutely tasty, though it only had one bell pepper and the tiniest sliver of onion (a bit shy on the veggies, but we forgive them because the flavor delivered!).

My beans came toasted; my husband’s did not. So, a tiny inconsistency, but the rice was flavorful, and overall, the food was freshly made and satisfying.

We also ordered two Cadillac Margaritas, and let me tell you — they did not skimp on the pour! Strong, smooth, and generous with the shot.

Prices were very reasonable — our total came out just over $67, which felt like a solid deal for everything we got. The service wasn’t super fast, but definitely not slow either — it’s clear everything is made fresh, and we appreciated that.

All in all, we were happy with our visit and would definitely come back. Mas Bella may be tucked away, but it’s worth the find!

This place is not only gorgeous and elegant (rare around here) but the food is AMAZING all around- literally mouth watering. The service is top notch! The drinks and dessert were decadent! Literally a 10 all around. Became my new fave restaurant within 30 minutes of sitting down. We ordered mixed fajitas, empanadas, quesadilla and guacamole. For dessert churros. So so good!

Mas Bella has lovely esthetics but I feel, sadly, that’s all this place offers.

The chips they give you while you wait are cold, oily, and unsalted. The salas was okay in flavor with more emphasis on the spice level. We ordered the sizzling fajitas and the enchilada taco plate. Both plates were hot and pretty bland. My fajitas were over salted, making up for the lack of salt on the chips. The taco and enchilada were just okay and mostly bland.

We also order a strawberry sunset and a Mexican greyhound for drinks. The greyhound is served in an aptly themed cup and has a wonderful smoke flavor. With that said, it was more on the sweet side, almost too sweet and I also felt like it was lacking in alcohol. The same could be said for the strawberry sunset, overly sweet with little alcohol.

As far as the wait staff goes, it’s kind of awkward. Just about everyone came up to us to provide service and it made it hard to distinguish who was our server. We placed a drink order with one and then another came by and asked if we wanted anything. Shortly after that another waiter came by and asked if we were ready to order drinks. We informed them that we had already ordered drinks and they asked us with who and seemed to be slightly annoyed. This was kind of the theme the entire night.

Also note they have different menus for lunch and dinner. So make sure if you’re looking at their menu to decide ahead of time that you’re picking for the meal time you’ll be dining at.

Overall for the price of the food and drinks, it’s just okay and lacks flavors. Nothing wowed us or even enticed us to want to go back.

The bar is very small and noisy – hard to have a conversation. The food doesn’t standout. Feels more like a neighborhood hangout. Nothing unique here. It’s small and is banking on a few contemporary decorative items in photos to define itself. I’d rather have an authentic atmosphere with authentic food or regionally themed food. I think the space itself limits the restaurant. It’s awkwardly small.

The food is delicious and authentic! The proportions are just enough.
This is one place I will be visiting again!
