We had the most fantastic meal at Sliver Girl in West Acton! The food, the drinks, the ambiance and the hosts were impeccable! Dawn and Tam, you have made a welcoming, comfort food haven. In order of the photos: Grey Lady cocktail, Rogue River Blue Cheese with poached pear, hot honey and baguette; popover with cane syrup & Aleppo butter; Mama Eva’s gumbo; chicken pop pie; brioche soaked in cardamom syrup and filled with marscarpone cream. This was a magical meal in a magical venue (even a soft jazz trio!). #silvergirl @silvergirl.us

Let me tell you what: it’s criminal how empty this place was on an early Saturday evening. This meal brought me to tears it was so lovely. The decor inside is beautiful, the service is so friendly and attentive. The drinks- DAMN! I had the envious moon, it blew me away. I ate by myself, and to know, the plate of Brussels is HUGE. Gladly took some home. The bonito flakes on top are a unique and brilliant touch. The gumbo- lightweight but with a beautiful dark and flavorful roux. The chocolate cremeaux, super rich, perfect portion size so as not to overdo it. Take your friends, your dates, and your mama here. Enjoy this place to the fullest because they deserve it and you do too!

December 2025: We are back after a recent trip to New Orleans and Silver Girl’s gumbo stands up to the gumbos I had in New Orleans. I also enjoyed the refreshing PPP salad with pear slices. An added bonus jazz trio at 6 pm
March 2025:We had an excellent dinner here. Duck leg cassolet with beans tasted incredible. My husband enjoyed the seafood gumbo. Popovers were perfect. The beet salad was flavorful. The only thing to be aware of is that there are three sitting areas: bar, lounge, and dinner. The lounge area has tiny tables which could barely fit two dinner plates. They were meant for drinks and bar snacks, not having a full dinner. Be aware when making reservations.

We celebrated a 40th birthday here and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The musical duo who started playing at 6 pm were delightful.

This place is a great vibe and the food and cocktails are amazing. Went on Valentine’s day and it felt like they really respected your time and didn’t try to rush your out like some other restaurants on this holiday. They also had live music (see their website to see who is performing) really added to the atmosphere! Will be back!

Great first time at Silver Girl!! We were very excited to try a new high-quality local place (and it doesn’t get much more local than this for us… less than a 5 minute walk). Even better we got to try it with veterans (at least they’d been once), our friends who have been regular Eve & Murray’s patrons for a good while now. Everything we had was wonderful, the cocktails were exquisite, and the service – by folks we recognized from Eve & Murray’s – was lovely. The menu was larger than we expected… I thought they were still in the “small plates exclusively “ phase, but apparently they are expanding rapidly; there is tell of a brunch to come! Anyway a great experience and we will be back for sure.

Love Silver Girl! Had an excellent experience there. The food and cocktails were delicious, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming and the service very attentive. I had an excellent Tuscan Vegetable Ragu, the popovers (incredible) and a Under the Canopy cocktail. Great experience!

Dec 2025: Popovers are great, a must have when you come here. Salad was also excellent. For my main I had the Chicken Pop Pie which is chicken stew on a popover. It’s OK, not great, and not up to the standard of their gumbo.
Mar 2025: Terrific food. We started with the popovers which were first rate. Followed it up with salads, had the Caesar sans anchovies, it was fine. Our main courses were the gumbo and the cassoulet which were both superb.

Honestly, was expecting to have a better experience at Silver Girl than we did. My wife and I came to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary but left feeling underwhelmed.
The atmosphere was great and the jazz trio playing was very enjoyable but a bit too loud, we were two tables in front of the music.
After being seated it took about 10 minutes before we were greeted by a server for drinks, but I think the restaurant only has 1-2 waitstaff with management also stepping in?
Signature drinks were, I hate to say, nothing special. I have made Old Fashions at home that tasted better than their TWO FIVE ONE and a couple of their gin drinks were fine at best. But nothing that knocked my socks off.
Dinner was alright. I got the Duck Confit, nice piece of duck with “creamy” white beans. Yeah, the beans were more like mushy peas texture than “creamy”. My wife got the Chicken Pot Pie. We had deconstructed Chicken Pot Pies before and knew we wouldn’t get a traditional “pie”. However, I think it failed by calling it a “stew” and was more like pulled chicken and garden veg. There was no sign of a thick soup base on the plate to be considered a stew in my opinion.
Overall it was a nice meal but not something worth the prices on the menu.

My wife and I ate here with our friends on a Friday night. Recommend you make reservations as the place is very busy. The food was very good, service was nice and the atmosphere was very cool. Drinks were very cool, I was impressed with their creativity. Fairly limited menu, but everything on there was tasty. Just missed five stars because the chairs were very strange, normally this wouldn’t bother me but they kept sliding with wheels in the back and coasters on the front. It was nearly impossible to pull them in to the table.
