If you really want to try another place with authentic tamales then the Tamale Industry is the place. The creative menu allows you to choose several types that might suit your palate. The corn masa is phenomenal— perhaps they could work on the filling to make it more moist and plentiful. Yet, the taste is good and the sauces really dials the tamale up a notch — this place— besides the one in Valley Junction is in my top five because of price, taste, authenticity, and the offerings of creative choices to fit my palate as well as being locally family owned.

For being the name of the restaurant… The tamales where small real small not bad flavor but certainly not what I would call spicy pork. I ordered pork enchiladas which were dry bland and wished it was better I truly did.

I tried to break a $5 so my 2 year old daughter could ride the car toys around the corner from the food court(the machine will only break $1 bills). This is clearly not their issue, but I figured they would simply say no if they were unable to provide change for a $5. The woman behind the counter was in the middle of making change when the man told her to stop. She put the money back into the cash register and changed her mind. I then tried to purchase a cup of water as advertised on their menu for $1. He said he wouldn’t sell it to me but would sell me a bottle of water for $2. I obviously obliged and paid the $2 and told him to keep the bottle of water as he clearly needed it more than I did. While I’m unable to comment on their food, I will never be back as the couple was extremely rude. They had an opportunity to be decent store owners, as providing change doesn’t impact their bottom dollar whatsoever, but they failed to do so. Que Dios te haga justices cuando llegue tu momento.

It was “OK.” $9 for 2 softshell tacos & a small drink, no side items. They didn’t have any ranch dressing or avocado ranch sauce, or anything like that. Just salsa.

We love this restaurant and the people who own it!! I just ordered 2 dozen of each tamales! They are the best in town! We have known and ordered from Tamales Industry for many years. Now I can’t wait for Christmas and New Years enjoying these tasty treats. I socked them away in the freezer just waiting for us to steam them up. Get to Merle Hay Food court and order. You will be soooo pleased with the food!

We went because we really like tamales.
We got there about 15 before closing.
We aren’t locals so we weren’t familiar
with location and hours. And have never ate there before.
For specializing in tamales this place had the worst tamales we’ve ever tasted! And I’ve tasted many. They were so fluffy and dry they fell apart in my mouth.
They were way too expensive for the quality.
The only reason I gave a star was because the people were nice.
