The food was great and the cocktail was strong. We ordered two entrees and one drink which totaled to $63. Overall, the music was nice and the atmosphere was good. The only complaint I have is that the tables were all very Close to each other, so it was a bit hard to have a conversation.

The ambiance of the restaurant I thought was great and in a historic building. Plating of the food is very good and nice attention to detail. However, I felt the food was just okay, especially given the high price tag.

Mofongo Rellenos – was good but not amazing. I felt the mofongo was lacking some flavor in it. I liked the chicharrón it came with. It was unique that the chicharrón was “stuffed’ inside the mofongo with more served on the side.

Tostones came out hot and I enjoyed them but were a lot softer than I normally like.

They included gratuity for my group of 5 which I found surprising and frustrating. There was no mention of it from the waiter. Thankfully I had seen similar reviews so knew to check on the receipt.

I was excited to check out this spot and see how it compared to the one in Boston! While the Boston location has its own unique charm, I really enjoyed this place too! The food was delicious, and the drinks were nice and strong! It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. Plus, the service was super quick and efficient, which is always a bonus!

Amazing declicious food was served and the atmosphere was amazing. I’ve been there weekly so far and have had a great experience each time. I waited to write a review because I wanted to see consistency! The bartender is friendly and everyone is so nice. Each of my friends so far loved it.

Was super excited when I heard Vejigantes was coming to Worcester and couldn’t wait to go. We toasted to Sunday Funday with a “mojito” and a “side car”. For dinner, Hubby ordered “surf and turf Mar Chiquita Te Amo” (mofongo, shrimp, and skirt steak and I ordered Pechuga Rellena De Chorizo Y Maduros and a side of Sorullitos. I enjoyed my dinner. Hubby wasn’t a bit underwhelmed. The steak and shrimp were minimal and the mofongo was tasty but a little dry. He order a side of garlic salsa which gave it just what it needed.
The atmosphere was cute but for some reason I expected a little more of the tropical island feel. Didn’t feel homey Not sure if our waitress was having a bad day but as many know, Puerto Rican’s are know for being happy , friendly and welcoming. Our waitress barely cracked a smile. She was definitely all business. It was a bit pricey (almost $150 for one app, two meals and two drinks) and when we got the bill, the tip was already included. No bueno! Overall, I’d give it a 3.5/5

Great experience, beautiful place, the food is delicious, and the drinks are amazing. My friends and me noticed that they just opened couple weeks ago, they can do it better (I am sure) so this is only the beginning, but it was a good memory to keep. We still going there because the people is very friendly and welcoming. Great for that.

Our recent dinner at Vejigentes was a truly amazing experience from start to finish. I ordered the red snapper special, and it was an absolute delight-cooked to perfection with a flaky, tender texture and seasoned beautifully.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderfully immersive. While the overall vibe was relaxed and casual, the vibrant Hispanic music playing in the background infused the space with energy. This, coupled with the authentic decor, genuinely transported us, making it feel as though we were enjoying a night out in Old San Juan.

A major highlight of our evening was our server, Michelle. She was the epitome of hospitality-incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down and exceptionally attentive throughout our entire meal, all without ever feeling intrusive. Her warmth and professionalism significantly enhanced our dining experience.

After dinner, we moved to the bar for a nightcap to take in the vibe from that side of the restaurant. We were impressed by their decent selection of rums, which is an essential offering for an authentic Puerto Rican establishment. It was the perfect way to round out the evening.

Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with Vejigentes. It has all the makings of a new favorite, and I anticipate we’ll be back many times. We’re excited to add it to our regular rotation of local spots for future date nights.
