What happened to Yoyo and his hot dogs? – Houston – Reddit

Yoyo’s hot dogs were a tradition for us over many years in the village, we were regulars. After he moved locations to EaDo we stopped going really.

Let me tell you! I haven’t had a hot dog in 20 years. And when I said this hot dog was amazing. It definitely changed my life! I was walking and eating, and wanted to be greedy and go get another one just because!!! Smh I will be ordering 2 hot dogs next time.

Very tasty and unique flavors, definitely worth to try and live up to the hype! The owner is very nice and friendly guy. He even offer a free drink for us ☺️

Edit: it’s so good that we came back the next day. This location is the OG one and the owner always here so would recommend this location than others one

Literally the best hot dog I have ever had. We got this hot dog after coming out of the comedy club near midnight. There was a small cart/stand open and I am very glad we waited the 15-20 minutes to get Yoyo’s Hot Dog. Absolutely worth it.

10 out of 10! I have been stopping by YoYo’s since 2012 and I haven’t been disappointed yet. He still has the same great spirit while serving up the same great flavor!

I’m sorry, but I have to say that these hotdogs are not worth the money. I can get a better hotdog at Costco for less, true, not at late hours, but still. The service is amazing, but these are subpar hotdogs at least if they were foot-long, an offering of more toppings or something else I can see the justification of the cost. IF they were price differently, I would definitely come back because they were adequate and tasty, but I have had better.

I don’t know if I was the mix of being hungry/buzzed but the first time I had yoyos at the other location my taste buds went crazy in a good way but this past Friday after the game we stopped by and they were good but nothing compared to the first time. My overall thought they are good if you are hungry, happen to be in the area and there is no line not worth waiting in line over 10min

I recently had the chance to visit this restaurant, and let me tell you—it’s definitely worth the hype! The flavors were absolutely amazing and unique, unlike anything I’ve tasted before. Every dish seemed to have its own special twist, making each bite exciting and full of flavor. It was so good that we actually came back the very next day to enjoy it all over again.

The owner was also such a nice and friendly guy, making our experience even better. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even offering us a free drink, which was such a nice touch. It’s clear that he really cares about his customers and the food they serve.

If you’re thinking about visiting, I highly recommend coming to this original location. The owner is always here, and it has that authentic, homey vibe that the other branches just can’t match. You’ll definitely leave satisfied and wanting to come back for more!

Yoyo needs more quality control. Taste needs to be more consistent.

Tried the brick & mortar and the flavors weren’t the same.
– caramelized onions
– spicy mayo
– cream cheese

The ingredients don’t taste as fresh and it didn’t sit well in my tummy. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to the brick & mortar. However, highly recommend visiting the food truck for a better experience.
