Great dining experience! The atmosphere was classier than I expected and the vibes were excellent. The drinks were delicious and well made (pictured Paloma and Vodka Cran). I was craving a burger and the bacon cheeseburger did not disappoint! They had a lot of things that looked good and I appreciate the menu isn’t ten pages. Will be back to try more things soon

Absolutely LOVED this place! Pork chops were insanely good. The taste never tapered off. Our server was Savannah Smith, a beautiful girl with a great personality. It was our anniversary and she surprised us with a slice of cake, with a sparkler. Great music played the whole time.

I love this wonderful Restaurant. It has a very nice atmosphere. Our waiter is an amazing guy, very kind and attentive. We celebrated my husband’s retirement after 52 years on the Mississippi River. Our food was amazing as it always is at Nolin’s. Our favorite place to eat!

We arrived about 10 minutes early for our Valentines day reservations and were seated immediately. There was a minor issue with our order, but we didn’t mind because it was Valentines and they were busy. We didn’t complain or ask to speak to a manager or anything like that, but we were approached by management and they were very apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied with our experience. We had fried green tomatoes, salmon and the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious and we will be going back.

UPDATE: Regretfully I have to completely change my review. I suggested this place to a group of friends coming from Paris TN as being exceptional. I left embarrassed.

First when we arrived I was told there would be a 45 minute wait. I assured everyone it would be well worth it.

Indeed we were seated in approximately 45 minutes. That was the highlight of the evening. The server brought water but we had to flag him down to get cocktails. The cocktails were very good by the way.

Two people ordered appetizers. The queso was quite tasty, the other appetizer was disappointing.

Then the wait began. We ordered and waited, and waited, and waited. An hour later when people seated after us had their food we asked the server and were told we were waiting on 2 entrees. Ummm? If we are waiting on 2, where are the other 4?

The answer was they were sitting getting cold. For the record there were only 6 of us, it wasn’t like a massive group.

After another 15 minutes of waiting the food finally arrived. Starting with the top reviews, the meatloaf was good and it was hot. The cajun pasta was rated as decent. The Atlantic salmon was flavorful but over cooked and barely warm. The steak was well seasoned and excellently cooked but was cool and had so much grissel it was barely edible (the accompanying mashed potatoes were great). The pasta Primavera was cool and the sauce had broken so that it was noodles sitting in melted butter. The fish sandwich was mine and the fish was, I don’t know, fishy. Really, really musty fish tasting. Thankfully I substituted mac n cheese for the fries and it was great and hot.

We complained about the food and got “Sorry.” as he nodded and walked off. After the meal I asked to speak to the manager.

A very dismissive Frank seemed uninterested in any of the problems other than the steak and said the next time my friends were in town to have them come in and ask for him and he would buy their dinner.

Sorry Frank but we waited almost 2 hours for barely mediocre food? There won’t be a next time.

I would have overlooked a bad day. I will not overlook the fact none of the staff cared or tried to make it right.

The food is amazing. I went with a group so I got to sample several things.

I’m a pretty harsh critic but for this trip there weren’t any outstanding negatives. I didn’t love the fried green tomatoes. Don’t get me wrong, they were made extremely well it just wasn’t my favorite flavor profile. The queso was quite good. Not so thick it broke the chips but not so thin you couldn’t taste it, it was my favorite appetizer. The ahi tuna tacos should probably be offered as a meal. Great flavors but a large portion for an appetizer. Same for the nachos, they were massive but worth every bite.

The shrimp and grits were a bit too gritty. Yes I know what grits are like but they definitely needed to be a bit creamier. With that said the flavor was great.

The blackened Mahi Mahi was exceptional. The steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Don’t miss the opportunity to try the gouda mashed potatoes!

The surprise of the evening was the alfredo. This is hands down some of the best alfredo I’ve ever eaten. There is a depth to the flavor that is remarkable, I want the recipe!

And finally dessert. Who had room for anything else….we did! The lava cake was good, nothing special but good among the realm of lava cakes. Which brings us to the cheesecake.

I am not a fan of cheesecake in general but this was not your average cheesecake. It managed to be smooth and creamy and just barely sweet which was compensated for by the sauce.

Now another big surprise was the coffee. To be an afterthought on the menu this was dog gone good coffee served with actual heavy cream. I was so impressed with the quality.

Now for the biggest setback of the night, the music. It was decent music but it was so loud we were having trouble talking to each other. Perhaps we were particularly close to a speaker?

A Foodie’s Dream at Nolins Bar & Grille!

We kicked things off with the starters, and wow, did they set the bar high.

First, the nachos. These aren’t your average nachos – they’re piled high, loaded with fresh salsa and guac that tastes like it was smuggled from the border. And that smoked brisket? Unreal. Smoky, tender, and impossible to get enough of.

Now, let’s talk about the wings. I tried the Sweet & Spicy Glaze, and let me tell you, they’re absolute fire!

Chef Chuck is a wizard with these wings – crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right balance of smoke and glaze.

It’s the BEST smoked wings I’ve ever had.

I had to go back later in the week for round two and try the Honey Hot Glaze.

Spoiler alert: it’s just as amazing. You’ll want to find a quiet corner to unleash your inner wing savage.

For the main event, my daughter had the Shrimp & Grits. I’ll admit, I was skeptical about Gulf shrimp this far from the coast, but these tasted like they came straight from the Gulf. Fresh, plump, and bursting with flavor.

My wife? She ordered the Grilled Cheese. Yep, grilled cheese – but this isn’t the grilled cheese you make at home.

Crunchy sourdough, applewood bacon, gooey gouda and cheddar, with a tomato basil relish. It’s simple, but next-level.

I went with the Frisco Melt. It’s a carnivore’s dream – thick, juicy steak burger with caramelized onions and toasted sourdough.

Cooked to perfection, the flavors just melt in your mouth.

And dessert? I barely had room, but I had to try the Brown Butter Cake.

Imagine bourbon-glazed apples on a soft, buttery cake. It’s out of this world.

Even if you’re not a dessert person, trust me – try this and thank me later.

Overall, Nolins Bar & Grille blew me away.

Each dish feels crafted with passion, and Chef Chuck is truly a culinary genius. If you’re anywhere nearby, make this place a must-visit.

You’ll leave happy, stuffed, and already planning your next meal here.

Looked to have good reviews and was recommended by a couple people, so we gave it a try. 5:20 Saturday. Thought early would be better. Main dining area only had a couple tables seated. Early arrivals like us got stuck in the enclosed room. Uncomfortable chairs, way overcrowded. Servers could barely move around to care for patrons. 18-20 people crammed into that room. But there were still plenty of empty nice comfy chairs and tables in the main dining. Yeah, I should have requested a different table. I ordered a Maui burger rare. You can see by the picture that it was medium well, dry, not juicy at all. My wife ordered Wesi(?) Chicken Alfredo. Alfredo is supposed to be creamy. The server said yes it’s creamy. The portion size was big but it was not creamy at all. Kinda gritty. Tasted like and had consistency of food that had been under a hot box heat lamp since morning. Food just was not good. No appetizer and still took 40 minutes to get and they weren’t yet slammed. Very disappointed with the whole experience.
If you go early, don’t let them banish you to the enclosed side room!

It’s privately owned, which is nice for Jackson. The food quality is fresh and good, The biggest issue is they won’t allow for food substitutions when it comes to ordering. For example, I don’t eat fries, but the burger comes with fries, I can substitute for a salad instead with an up charge, and they still bring the fries. CRAZY! you can’t change it up. They need to change that policy because most people have special diets or food allergies. The atmosphere is nice, and prices are fair, but we don’t go very often because they aren’t flexible with ordering and allowing for options. It’s still a nice place to go to dinner.

Food and service was fantastic. We were in the side room that had a table in a corner with a person who had to share their space with a tv…. Not very comfy. Otherwise, great time.
