I’ve passed this hidden gem on my way home every day and decided today to stop and get dinner. I wanted to give it 5 stars on service alone. Sonya( hope that’s the correct spelling) and Frankie greeted me with a smile as soon as I entered the door. They were both very friendly, professional and helpful. Incredible service that’s hard to come by nowadays. But I said hey, let me give the food a fair shot. I had the catfish filet basket and a side of fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were to die for. Will be getting those regularly. My partner had the blackened shrimp tacos. He’s picky when it comes to food, but he loved them. We will definitely eat here again…and again!!!

Informal seafood restaurant- okay to go in shorts and t shirts. We needed space between tables and were blessed to find a great spot. Ordered different items to try. Next time we are there, will be ordering triple Boudan balls for appetizers. Best we have ever had. Fried green tomatoes were good, but were cut thin and had a lot of breading. Fried catfish and shrimp were great, french fries are just regular crinkle cut fries. Hush puppies were good too. First time I have ever been charged for water. Bathrooms were okay, but not the cleanest. Service was great- very quick and expedient.

It was ok, waitress was nice BUT the fish and fries were fried too hard & the fries had no seasoning, which can be understood, coleslaw not good at all. We didn’t address any of these issues with the staff. The fish was well seasoned; just be far warned: ask them not to fry it hard. If you like seasoned fries, ask….

Service was phenomenal. I had Red Beans & Rice, which I thought was full of flavor but would have appreciated more sausage and rice. Wife hade a side of gumbo, which she gives a 5. She also had crawfish with potatoes and sausage. The crawfish was so good she ordered another pound. We both agreed the potatoes and sausage were lacking flavor and not cooked with in the same seasoning as the crawfish. Atmosphere was quiet. Food was served quickly and hot.

Came in on a Thursday night, maybe a total of 4 tables in the whole place. Super slow. Got seated quickly but that’s where it started going down hill. We ordered, my husband getting a blackened catfish meal, my son got a kids meal, and myself ordering boiled shrimp. Well… my husband and sons food comes out pretty quickly, Not mine though. The waitress said “it should be out in just a minute”…. About 5 mins passes and she comes back saying they JUST dropped my shrimp to boil, okay fine. My son had time to eat his pile of popcorn shrimp while I waited about 20 minutes for my boiled shrimp and my husbands foods going cold because he won’t eat until I have my food. We ended up just getting our food to go after we sat there for a while waiting. Waitress finally brought my shrimp after about 20 minutes. I got home to eat my shrimp and they were so overcooked and chewy that they were inedible. So we paid $50 for inedible shrimp and cold blackened fish.
We sadly will not be back for a while, if ever despite giving this place our business over other places in the area since it opened. Every time we’ve came with the owner not to be seen the service has been shotty. Sad.

We got there around 5:15 pm we were the only ones in the restaurant at that time, we placed our order. My husband ordered catfish over a bed of rice with ettouffe. He was so disappointed because he got maybe a 1/4 of a cup of rice and a 1/4 cup of ettouffe. I ordered the 4 piece fish, Cole slaw and fries. The Cole slaw they brought out was in the smallest cup you could find. This is the 3rd time we have been and disappointed every time. I had to talk my husband in to going cause he said we will be disappointed again. I told him let’s give it another try cause they been opened a while and maybe worked thru things. I don’t think I will ask him any more to go there to eat.

Our waitress was super. Sonya was always ready to bring us what we needed before we asked! The food was delicious but I especially loved the frog legs! The crawfish egg rolls were also a big hit! We will be back with our family.

it’s okay. I got the blackened fish poboy fully loaded as are the options. It was so much that I couldn’t hardly eat it. Ended up falling apart and making a huge mess. The fish itself tasted good. Would recommend just a few of the options of getting the poboy. Would probably go back and try something else.
