Sourdough loaves are fresh and delicious. Garlic and rosemary is my favorite with its big chunks of garlic; jalapeno cheese is good, only the slightest hint of spice – all mildly flavored, easy to use with breakfast, charcuterie, or dinner. Staff always kind and helpful. Fun collection of items in the store, and avocado honey is worth a purchase.

Cute little place tucked away from the main part of Carp. Great croissants! Got a 1/2 loaf of charcoal sourdough loaf that is delicious!! Friendly customers too. Only bummer is no ceramic cups, only paper to go, which seems common in the area.
Update: was in the area again 11/23/24 and stopped in for some bread. Did not disappoint!! Delicious sourdough.

I come here for the best tuna melt I’ve ever had in my life and delicious gluten-free banana muffins. They also have amazing coffee, fresh honey and little gifts. The place is so low-key and the staff are super nice. We love it here! A local haven!

I came here for the first time yesterday. I ordered online in advance a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms as an add-on. The pizza was delicious and I was happy to see that they were generous with the mushrooms and they were thicker slices. Not like a lot of pizzerias that have super thin slices of mushroom and not enough IMO.
They have a small space that is packed with a lot of giftware and of course, their honey. There are a few small tables outside, not suitable for a larger group. I was going to get a can of root beer, a brand I was unfamiliar with, but it was $4. I put it back, that was spendy for me for a can of soda.
Service was courteous and polite. I will definitely come back.

We stopped by during our camping trip and we’re so glad we did! The coffee, pastries, and bread were all fantastic. I’ll definitely make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in town.

Review is mainly for the pizza, which is not good. Absurdly saucy, and not pleasant-tasting sauce, but more like tomato paste from a can. So much sauce that when you take one bite all the cheese slides off. And it’s $8.00 (EIGHT dollars) for a tiny slice of plain cheese. Borderline embarrassing.

This is some of the best pizza I’ve had! The sourdough crust is crunchy and chewy, the sauce is flavorful and the burnt pepperoni give it yet another dimension of flavor! I’m obsessed with finding good pizza places and have traveled to many states. This pizza is up there!

Santa Barbara hives is the best restaurant in carp. I was instantly mesmerized as I stepped into SBhives by all the amazing smelling candles and adorable aesthetic little trinkets. I ordered the tri tip sandwich and my friends got the turkey and pesto. The owner who brought the food to us was the nicest friendliest warmest guy ever. When I took my first bite, all the problems in my life went away. It is beautifully made with the most amazing charcoal sourdough and everything was just gorgeous. This is the most underrated restaurant in santa barbara and carpinteria. I could not concentrate on conversation with my friends and I as I was too infatuated with the delicious awesomeness. Every bite made me tingle. Everybody should come here at least once it their life to get a true carpinteria experience. This was so freaking exceptionally magnificent .
