Why do I even try? I stopped going to Panera for a couple of years because they continued to mess up my really easy orders. Decided to go there today. Ordered online, an egg and cheese croissant. They gave me a sausage and egg on ciabatta. I also ordered a cinnamon roll. It was brick hard and cold. I had to go back and they did give me the correct sandwich, but I didn’t mention the cinnamon roll, I figured thats just Panera’s way to serve it, cold and hard, not specific to this location. Waste of precious time in the morning and a waste of money.

Just got out of the hospital and needed chicken noodle soup. The woman in the drive through was so nice and patient with me. I had never been through their drive through and needed help ordering the soup with the bread bowl. It was such a comforting soup was still perfectly hot when I got it home (10 minute drive).

Ok presentation. “creme brulee latte” missing the sprinkled crystallized sugar topping as well as the whipped cream & salted caramel sugar.( probably melted)
Highly recommend for Uber Eats delivery.

Atmosphere was insulting, From a short hispanic women who continued ignoring me and cackling at the drive-thru when I gave her my name. However the name was inputted into the system, Whether it was was my last name or middle name it’s not my problem.
This is the first time I tipped 20% before the service was rendered. NEVER AGAIN!
Customers are not your punching bags for your, inappropriate, violent, aggressive behavior.
I ended up a walking into the location where Helen retrieve the order from the tiny hispanic woman who was unprofessionally shoving her mouth with food sticking out of it, getting her crums all over the floor while muttering incoherent words to Helen.
For now, you are rated appropriately at three 3 Stars

The asiago sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is so delicious. I think it’s the best breakfast sandwich on the market. It’s actually worth the $8 which I would typically never say but it is! Staff is always very kind and they work efficiently.

The reason for only being four stars is more for the folks at corporate headquarters. I think kiosks are fine and allow customers who might not enjoy much human interaction. That being said, I do feel that there should also be an option to work directly with an associate. That provides the opportunity to pay in cash, as well as be there for those customers who might be technically challenged or just prefer the human enter action. The associate I did see had a smile on her face and seemed very pleasant.

The food is as good as most panera but the service was just exceptional here in the mchenry location! A women named Gina took our order, who is also the manager, was so friendly!! She Was patient with us and had so much knowledge on every last food item we asked about and suggested things we didn’t even know about. She knew every allergen, and every last little ingredient. Another thing, her smile was just so bright and friendly, i don’t think there can be better service than we had with her. Then as we’re sitting, she is washing tables filling some sort of drinks, stocking products all around us, while helping her staff, answering their questions and guiding them… what?! I have never seen such a hands-on hard-working manager At a food place you know what I mean? She just deserves more. Thank you Gina for your spirit, knowledge, care; thank you for being one of the good ones that are hard to come by these days.

I don’t recommend dining in. They prioritize drive thru orders so you’ll be waiting at least 20 mins for a cup of soup and a half salad. Also, it’s 4pm and the lobby looks like the tables haven’t been cleaned all day. I had to wipe one down myself so I had somewhere to eat. Soup was cold. Not even warm.

I always order the Smokehouse Barbecue Chicken sandwich, so I know how it is made. Where is the cheese? Ordered extra onions, where are they? Extra barbecue sauce??? I did this myself on the kiosk, so I know it wasn’t ordered incorrectly. I literally had bread with some barbecue sauce and a few onions for lunch – for $11.00. Ordered a bakery item with my food and they put it on the counter separate from my to go order and continued to yell my last name at the top of their lungs until I told the server it went with the rest of my order, which was to-go. So odd. This location was very well staffed, which was a plus, but by far the worst Panera location I have ever been to. A big, cold, open room that was noisy and uninviting. There is nothing warm or welcoming about this location, which is newer. I sure hope this isn’t the model Panera is leaning towards! Don’t fix what isn’t broken Panera. This is a fail….and a waste of $11 today.

Staff friendly but asked for chicken noodle soup and mostly got broth and no noodles & 2 pieces of chicken… Called got my refund only on the soup but what I didn’t notice until after the call was my chocolate croissant was super super hard & dry like I couldn’t even try enjoying it if I tried… What is this?? That’s what you call chocolate??? Looks a month old & was super Nasty. Definitely regret taking just ONE bite. SMFH I should definitely get a refund on my whole order. This is crazy what I was given and I paid for. Never ever EVER coming back. Disgusting and can’t believe anybody would serve this
