So being from Texas and never being to California, I wasn’t sure what to expect but the food here was probably better than most of my favorite Mexican restaurants that my family and I frequent. The service was excellent, the salsa tasted very fresh and was better than most have had. I had the Vamp Burrito (not sure if that’s the exact name) with Pastor and the restaurant has it cooking on a vertical rotisserie. It was absolutely straight fire!!! If you’re looking for damn good food, don’t hesitate to pick this spot!!!

Absolutely incredible – this place deserves all the hype and more.
My partner and I had the chance to try Carlitos’ Tijuana Grill, and wow… every single thing we ordered was . We had the spicy shrimp taco, fish taco, mulita al pastor, and the quesabirrias, plus micheladas.
The tacos were super delicious, had plenty of meat, and the handmade corn tortillas really added to the flavor. The spicy shrimp had the perfect kick, the fish taco was was crispy and the fish tasted fresh, and the mulita al pastor was juicy, and the meat was soft but crispy on the edges – PERFECTION. The quesabirrias were top notch, and dipping them in the consommé added to the experience.
And the micheladas? Refreshing and went perfect with the food. Can’t skip out on one of these.
You can tell everything here is made with care and intention. The food is authentic, fresh, and full of flavor, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe is relaxed and inviting. You can tell this is a place that takes pride in what they serve. It just feels genuine.
Also, I LOVE THE BRANDING! WHAT A CUTE FACE! Will definitely be back! 10/10!

I had an amazing experience at Carlitos Tijuana Grill. As soon as you walk in i was greeted like if i was over a family members home. And it smelled SO…..good just walking up to the doors. That when you know its fresh . SERVICE was amazing as well I will definitely be going again. I want that TORTA just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It really felt like I was eating in Tijuana . And I got to meet Carlitos him self such a sweet guy. Can’t wait to go back. I came from Fresno to try his food worth the drive

I stopped by to try some tacos on a weekday. They were so good I can’t stop thinking about them. The salsa was the right amount of spicy. They were ready quick and the batter was delicious. I ended up ordering a burrito to go to take to my partner because I wanted him to try it and he couldn’t stop talking about it a couple days later. I’m definitely going to bookmark this spot and be a regular. Keep up the good work you guys!

At $5 a taco, it’s a little pricier than some other spots, but honestly, the quality makes it worth it. Plus, the sauces and onions were on point—just the right amount of heat and flavor. And if you go on a Tuesday, they have a buy 3, get 1 free deal, which makes it an even better value.
If you love tacos, definitely give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic tasting food! Even the chips and salsa better than most places. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely be coming back. I had the super burrito with the pork that is shaved off. It was tasty and tender. I highly recommend anyone to try this place.

We came from Gilroy to try their tacos ordered two asada and two El Paso was looking at the receipt and notice we were charged. $35.80 for four tacos. We drove down the street to the ampm to get a soda and to eat our taco and we opened them and noticed that they were burritos tiny burritos so I decided to take them back the guy inside was very rude he asked me what would I like to do about it I said get the four tacos I ordered and then he offered to give me four tortillas……

Honestly, this place is a hidden gem of taco places in San Jose. Ever since trying Carlitos for the first time, it has been my favorite place to get tacos in the Bay Area! The Al Pastor is the most delicious Al Pastor Ive ever had, and all their other meats were cooked to perfection! Their fish and shrimp tacos were so flavorful that it doesn’t require any extra sauces! But if youre saucey like me, there is a sauce bar with many different condiments as well! I usually gravitate towards the spiciest sauce but their medium sauce is just soooo good, that you have to put it on everything! Their complimentary chips and salsa has the right balance of flavor while being light. There are also delicious dried Serrano peppers that you can help yourself to, and they are very delicious .
The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean and tidy, and the service is always amazing! Music and vibes are there as well! Carlos himself always checks in on you and asks if you need anything else, and even caters to your dietary restrictions as well! Im lactose intolerant and Carlos is always double checking to make sure that my dietary restrictions are met! Will always come back when im in the area, and highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried them yet!
