Being busy before the lunch rush, I opted to get a sandwich from the pre-made refrigerator section instead of waiting for a freshly made one. No date/time stamp for when it was made, so I had no idea the avocado/lettuce was brown/yellow beyond fresh for serving to the public. I frequent The Works’ in several other locations and always found the quality excellent. Today was definitely not. In future please date stamp when something is made before putting into your grab & go case. Edit: Found 7.24.25 EXP date when composting this once I was home.

Very friendly staff. Very good food made quickly. My favorite sandwich is the double dagwood. You can have any sandwich on any bread, including bagels.

This past Monday I had an appointment at the hospital due to the store I got there very early. I saw this place and decided to give them a try boy am I glad I did. I don’t know how you got those people all there but they were smiling, polite and helpful. I will definitely be back.

So if you are like me on a business trip, trying to stay consistent with the way you eat and you find a place close by to your hotel that serves breakfast with plenty of good reviews you would want to try it out. Unfortunately, this place is located in a hospital And I ordered just eggs thinking that it would be scrambled but all it is is just a patty type egg as you could see from the photo. Maybe this place is recommended while you’re in the hospital but not recommended if you are looking for breakfast.

Took over 10 minutes to fill my simple order of a latte- not busy- although I was not last in line- everyone waiting got their food and left- I watched as the worker (only male on shift at the time) was busy restocking- cleaning etc…no one else waiting – no orders to be – filled I waited a bit longer then thought perhaps my order got lost so I politely inquired to the cashier whether this might be the case- she very kindly went to check- I heard the guy say “Kate?” – the man proceeded to make my drink while he said…(sic) “everyone needs to wait their turn” …. He still didn’t put the finished drink on the counter to be picked up when it was ready to go. I waited. Then the ‘with it’ kind cashier went & got it for me from behind the counter – which I appreciated..- I have worked this kind of job and there is no excuse for his behavior. Hope the manager reads this. I very rarely if ever complain- but this was unnecessary-and unnecessarily rude- especially when most of us ordering here are under various levels of stress or pain or both.

Workers are load, the whole time staying in the waiting room for icu I heard constant yelling and shouting from the employees being very unprofessional and not aware of there surroundings. The employees are constantly making unnecessary noises and being obnoxious!!

Ordered many times over the past week and each time it’s been a wonderful experience. The staff is always super fast yet patient, attentive and helpful. Food is 10/10, ordered many different things and each exceeded my expectation. Had a mix up with my order this morning, seemed like an accidental bag swap as another person came up with a messed up order as I was leaving, and they immediately made it right. As a former service worker, seeing what I assume was a manager hyping their staff at the same time as keeping them to task was a pleasure. Can’t wait for my next order

The food was fantastic. The service was horrible. It took forever for a fresh mozz sandwich, i received my bagel 10 mins before my other sandwich. The tall guy making the sandwiches was so clearly high out of his mind. Im sure thats why he could barely lift his arms or move.

I usually meal prep but unfortunately time escaped me and so from time to time I must eat at the hospital. The works for the price should be excellent. And when they make the food correctly it’s excellent. But 4/5 times in a row now they have messed up my order. Now mind you I try to not complain but when I have to come all the way back for it to be corrected it takes time. They really need to step it up. I would love healthy food that is made to order and done correctly with fresh ingredients that Doesn’t cost so much. $17 on a power bowl and it’s barely tolerable but because I’m starving it is what it is I suppose.
