Our story starts with Matteo. Our rst restaurant had one goal; to
provide the community with authentic, traditional Italian food.
At Strada, we wanted to uphold that commitment while also catering
to a newer, busier audience. Strada is a faster paced, more
convenient, and more aordable way to taste the same level of high
quality homemade Italian food that you would nd at Matteo’s, but in
a much more casual and accessible format. The menu specilaizes in
homemade panini’s, fresh pasta, and salad’s that have all been
carefully optimized to be enjoyed on site or on the go.

The staff was exceptional! They were so kind and knowledgeable. I have celiac disease so eating out can be sort of a struggle sometimes and the staff here made my experience so easy and wonderful. When we asked for recommendations, the cashier gave us the most helpful information possible and we both deeply enjoyed our meals because of his recommendations. The meals themselves were were exceptionally well prepared, the pasta was Al dente (even my gluten-free pasta which is quite the feat), and the vodka sauce was delicious. The parmesan cream sauce was also really good, but it separated a bit with how much butter was in it (not something I’m going to complain about!). I added chicken to mine and the chicken was delicious. Often at Italian style restaurants such as this one, if the protein doesn’t come with the meal and you ask for it to be added, it doesn’t feel cohesive with the rest of the meal, but this chicken breast was so well made and so was every other element of the meal that it all flowed together perfectly. The restaurant’s atmosphere was not exactly what you would consider “classy” enough for the price point. I wasn’t expecting such a wonderful dining experience after seeing the sort of fast-food style setup of the restaurant, but it just made it more charming! The food was fantastic, the music was excellent, and the staff was wonderful. I would absolutely love to come here again.

Pretty bad, especially for the price. I got the Nonna Romana sandwich and it was disappointing on almost every level.
It’s advertised as mortadella, burrata and pistachio. Instead you get a pistachio cream sauce. At least I assume that’s what the bland off green sauce was supposed to be. No pistachio flavor and certainly no pistachio texture.
They are VERY skimpy with the mortadella. If I’m dropping $17 for a sandwich I expect more than 2 thin slices of mortadella. The burrata was fine I guess, but nothing special. The bread had potential but the bottom was sort of soggy and didn’t have much flavor overall.
Let’s just say that I won’t be back. For the money there are too many better options nearby. Hell, even Jimmy John’s is better and at about 1/2 the price.
I’m hard pressed to see what people are raving about with this place. The interior is cold and uninviting and looking around at other tables I’d say none of the food looked like anything special.

We had dinner here tonight and left with big smiles — not just because of the food, but because of the incredible attention we received from Mariana at the counter. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel truly welcome. She was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to help us with every single request without hesitation. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and makes all the difference.
The food was really enjoyable — well-prepared and satisfying, a solid choice for a nice dinner out. But honestly, what elevated the whole experience was the warmth and professionalism that Mariana brought to her work. She’s a true asset to this restaurant.
We’ll definitely be coming back, and we hope to find Mariana there again. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like a valued guest, this is it. Highly recommend!

Unfinished restaurant that looks half built and open too early. Still decided to give it a try, ordered to go, and was unsurprisingly disappointed. Ordered a half chicken parm and an order of pacherri bolognese. Chicken cutlet was overcooked on the chicken parm and the rest of the sandwich was utterly flavorless. The bolognese tastes almost identical to a can of chef boyardee ravioli which is actually horrific for the prices that they are charging. Over 30$ dollars for a lunch that tastes like a child who was left at home without supervision made for themselves.

The food here is wonderful. I tried STRADA because the food at Matteo is so good, and had to see what their fast casual take on that was like. The menu here has a lot of options that can be done as gluten free both as pasta and paninis. The gf noodle is one of the best that I have tried, and it pairs great with the offered sauces. The gluten free paninis are huge and have a ton of flavor. This will become a regular lunch spot for my wife and I.

We ordered the Bistecca Bowl and were disappointed. The steak was pale and had a smell that suggested it wasn’t fully cooked. It lacked flavor and had an unsettling texture. The rice on the salad was dry, and the salad had almost no dressing. The pasta was better, though not very memorable.
Service was polite when taking our order. No issues there.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this reflects our honest experience. Hopefully it was a one-off occurrence and the restaurant continues to improve.

Fun and convenient for an affordable, quick and authentic Italian lunch or dinner. Pair any pasta with the sauce of your choice. The panini selections are excellent too. Easy dining and well priced!

This place is amazing. It’s being run by a smaller crew (at the time I went the front and back of house were the same superhuman because someone was out sick), but the pasta is unbeatable. I asked to come here because I wanted to try “good, real italian food” to see if it was great or not. My coworkers insisted this was the place to fit the bill. Strada is great! Absolutely loved the pasta, the panini, and the gelato.

My new favorite lunch spot! So good, yet so affordable. Just what downtown SLC needed! The Don Grasso is so good. They had pistachio gelato when I was there and it was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!
