To my surprise, this hotel restaurant was open during COVID-19. Granted this review is dated April 2021 which is a couple of months after the city had started its mass vaccination effort.

For my experience, I tried the Angus Burger cooked well done.
The patty was thick, juicy and very well seasoned, but the waffle cut sweet potatoes fries were over cooked and too crispy.

Price was fair.
Portion size was as well.

This on-site pub is a good option if you want some decent food and don’t want to be bothered with going out.

Note, all sandwiches and burgers come with a choice of French Fries, Onion Rings, Waffle Cut Sweet Potato Fries, Side Salad or Fresh Mixed Fruit.

Seating is spacious and includes a bar. The pub actually shares the same dining room with the continental breakfast.

The food looks so perfect I asked for ranch and they bring it two seconds later The fruit was delightful The burger was cooked perfectly they even made the bottom of the bread crispy definitely recommend the burger
The lemonade is kind of water down, but definitely don’t recommend the sprite The Sprite kinda taste a little spicy this place is very delightful and very warming love The decorations definitely recommend

The steak looked better than it tasted. The potatoes were cool so the butter wouldn’t melt. The brocolli was good but the asparagus was half pithy. In their defense it’s their third day after opening. There was no waitress so orders were taken at the bar. The set up is as you see, a bit spartan so you have to ask for condiments.

Marriott hotel restaurant but it’s a hidden gem in Oakland. Service is amazing, drinks I’ve had are amazing and the food is unreal good. I’m very critical of places and this place most definitely makes grade.

I ordered the crispy calamari for myself (normally $16 but only $10 during happy hour) and a chocolate bunt cake $11 for my mom. She was unpleasantly surprised to find it had cherries in it which were not mentioned in the description. I feel for anyone with allergies and that coming up because of careless descriptions or lack of information.

Excellent and convenient bar and grill located inside the hotel. Quick service and excellent food, albeit an comparatively smallish menu. They have a full bar complete with local beers on tap.
