This small restaurant has great street tacos. It is small, and very busy so call in your order to enjoy at home or eat in your vehicle. The chips served are very hard, and not the tex- mex chips regularly served for chips and salsa. (see photo)

Came back and got a fajita plate. it was so very good. I do recommend this dish. Anyone who likes fajitas gives it a try. Oh my goodness, now this place isn’t playing. I haven’t been here for more than 5yrs and decided to come and eat the Costillas, and they aren’t playing. They actually have meat on them vs. Some places they so thin and have no meat, but these were cooked to perfection. At least I really enjoyed my dish. This is the original 1st kikies on hwy 48 padre Island Rd. If you want good hotel ribs, this is the place. Don’t want to jinx it just hoping they are consistent on the size of the ribs. My husband ordered the kikis Taco very well served, too, for the price. It was amazing. I got full with my portion, so thank you Kikis see you soon.

The food was really good. The corn tortillas were hot and freshly made. My dish came out amazing. My husband’s food had hair in it. They were very apologetic and wanted to make things right. At that point he completely lost his appetite. The customer service was amazing, even when trying to resolve the issue with my husband’s food. The menus are in Spanish and most of the workers only speak Spanish. We did ask for a worker that spoke English. She was very attentive and helpful when explaining the menu to me.

I ordered 3 beef steak and 3 tripe tacos with avocado, cilantro, and white cheese. To go I ordered 1/2 kilo of beef fajitas for dinner. Before my meal arrived, the waiter brought me some tostaditas with pico de gallo and pieces of lemon. I noticed a waiter is at the door to welcome customers. The cost is reasonable compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. The food was hot enough to wait a few minutes to start eating.

When we visit Brownsville, this Kiki’s location is THE spot we must eat at and that our whole family agrees on. We usually end up just getting the nachos because they are so good. They are huge! We usually get two orders to feed our family of 5. This time we also got the quesadillas which were legit ones made with corn tortillas placed over the grilled cheese. There is fajitas with slightly crispy edges that you can scoop in there.
We had a waiter from NYC who was amazing and super friendly. He knew his stuff and the best local fishing spots!
We went in-between lunch and dinner hours so it wasn’t busy but this is place is popular during meal times, especially for to-go orders.

This place is low key, but very clean and the food is absolutely delicious and authentic. We really enjoyed the experience, and recommend to visit if you like hearty homemade meal.
My spouse and I re-discovered Mexican cuisine after dining at Kiki’s yesterday. We generally don’t like it, but we absolutely loved this place. Will definitely be back next time when we are in the area
