Such a warm and welcoming sunlit diner with delicious huevos rancheros and Benedict crab cakes. Love how charming the whole spot is, affordable, everything you want in a diner that’s now so rare to find. Coming back to try their lauded Peruvian shrimp soup, breakfast burrito, and what looked like a creamy cappuccino.
5 stars!!!

This was my first time here, my family and I enjoyed the food and splendid service. It was quiet enough to hold conversation without hearing others at their own tables. This place is small but very charming and warm. Our server provided a jam jar and it was the cutest.

Perfect cafe feeling for a diner breakfast. The food had a unique flare. The burrito was awesome and the crab cake Benedict was one of the best I have ever had. Each entree served with fried potatoes cooked with lots of “crunchies”.

I’m not from the area and googled somewhere to grab a coffee that wasn’t Dunkin. Pulled up and was kind of skeptical of a diner in a strip mall. So pleasantly surprised by this place! The vegetable frittata was amazing. Friendly quick service. Will definitely come back if I’m in the area.

The fresh squeezed orange juice was like a taste from my childhood… That is saying something because I grew up in the south.
We were all so excited about all the options on the menu that we had no idea what to order. When we finally decided we were not disappointed in anything and I intend to come back tomorrow to try something else.

We were looking for a quiet, quick breakfast and found it here. Plenty of parking and no wait when we arrived. Only a few other people so I was a little worried, but no need. Our service was outstanding and our food was hot and came quickly. Will be going back

“Unless you live in Maryland or DC, there are the best crabcakes you’re going to find. Just sayin’…” That was my original review, but I’d like to expand on it a bit. People wait hours in lines to eat at Westchester and Putnam counties’ trendy breakfast/lunch spots while being completely unaware of the Sunrise Diner, an unpretentious gem in Somers. Owner Elizabeth and wait-staffer Angie have made a warm, welcoming, and friendly place to enjoy delicious food creatively made and presented by an amazing kitchen staff. The crab cakes benedict and the huevos rancheros are to die for! As are the pancakes, waffles, and everything else on the menu. I share this information with you knowing that it might make it harder for me to get a seat in my favorite local restaurant, but Elizabeth and her staff deserve to benefit from what they’ve built. Please give it a try, enjoy, and thank me later!

We came from Croton to try this place. The menu has some very interesting and appealing selections. Several of them include goat cheese, which called to me, but then I saw Lox Benedict on the menu. I have had that at some other places and I was curious to see how Sunrise Diner might do it. The lox was the correct amount on top of the English muffin, the eggs were perfect and the Hollandaise sauce was smooth, creamy and flavored just right with a lemony finish. It was nicely presented on a plate of the correct size. Of the Lox Benedicts I have ordered at other places, this one beat them all on all points. My congratulations to the chef!
