We had a fantastic experience at Commodore’s Pizza in Amite! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting—great for families, casual dates, or just grabbing a delicious bite. The pizza was hot, fresh, and loaded with flavor.
But what really stood out was our waitress, **Caydance**. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. She checked on us often without being overbearing and had a great attitude throughout the whole meal. It’s not every day you get service that feels both professional *and* genuinely kind.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area. Great food, great people—what more could you ask for?

Personal pan pizza pepporoni onion mushroom
The mushrooms were tiny and like rubber they came out of a can or jar.$12 for an 8” pizza could at leadt get real mushrooms.

Food was amazing. The bread tasted soft and fresh and just yummy.
I recommend the sweet sauce.

Walked in and ordered to go chicken Alfredo and parm bread sticks, then waited 50 mins; I then decided to ask if it was done at the to go pickup counter, oh it was bc the Alfredo was barely warm and the bread sticks were cold and the parm topping had a stale crunch to it, the Alfredo was to peppery, and the chicken chunks were dry; where I’m from if someone orders and they sit and wait you let them know thier food is done…but that didn’t happen, I was 5 mins away from just walking out. They strays I’ve seen around where I’m at will eat good tonight….

Great pizza, much like their Hammond location. We had a Godfather with traditional sauce and it was as expected. Good ratio of all toppings, good crust. Had a minor miscommunication when ordering – when you say you want mozzarella sticks you may end up with the bread version and not the friend version – either way it was carb laden cheese so we weren’t upset – I’d just advise being clear that you want BREADsticks or FRIED cheesesticks if you are picky. We had the buffalo wings on a previous visit before the review page was available and while the wings are of great size and are cooked well, the ‘sauce’ was underwhelming. Really, they were wings that were covered in a thin watery sauce that laid in a puddle in the bottom of the basket. It tasted vaguely of buffalo and was completely forgettable. I would not recommend though I will eventually try them again to determine if this was opening pains or just how they feel it should be. Finally, while I do like a sweet sauce on occasion – this sweet sauce seems cheap. Like, right out of a can, tomato sauce cheap. Overall though, the pizza (traditional sauce) is solid enough to warrant the score – and im going to venture out on the menu and continue to determine if this is a pizza only stop, or if it can be a jack of many trades.

Whatever you do, do not rent one of the apartments above this restaurant. all they do is play loud music from 10 o’clock in the morning til 10/11 o’clock at night. even with earplugs, you can still hear their music and feel it vibrating your apartment.

I eat here couple times a week. Get food and service. Try the hamburger steak! You wouldn’t think it from a pizza place but one of best around here. Also if your an olive person get the house salad.
