Incredible bakery with a small but lovely dining area with tables and chairs. German breads and confections. Highly recommend the brotchen, linzer cookies, bee sting cake and torte.

Annelore’s produces authentic German baked goods to exacting standards. The result is some of the most delicious cakes, cookies, and breads you can enjoy without having to hop on a plane to Germany.

Stopped by Annelore’s this morning at the Farmer’s market and there were no prices listed anywhere. I got one donut and one ham & cheese croissant and it was $16! I was shocked and questioned the price- it was $10 for the croissant and $6 for the donut, the gentleman assisting me noted it was “handmade this morning”. The food was mediocre at best and extremely overpriced. I will not be going back and would not recommend.

Thought this place would be good since the items looked good and line was long. Spent $24 on 3 baked goods at NC State Farmers market and they were all so dry and not good. I would have asked for my money back if had not already left. 🙁

Stopped by the location at the NC State Farmers Market. Bought two cookies and the man told me 12 dollars! To be honest they were not even very good. I know what it takes to bake. I do it every weekend. So please don’t tell me about what it takes. The farmers market use to be very reasonable. This was a joke. Never another penny from me. I noticed they don’t post the cost. They are counting on you to not make a fuss. Post your prices and see how much you sell!!

Great German Rye bread. 4 1/2 stars. I’ve only had gotten their bread 3 times (tried multigrain which is good) and got some of their pastries from events they’ve shown up for in the past. Somethings are 4/5 others 5/5. I read some comments about flies: I can say that their spot at the State Farmers Market they keep the bread wrapped in clear plastic bags so no flies can get to it. Not sure what they are talking about.

The bakery today served something new. An interesting addition to their regular pastries were Korean inspired with kimchi or Ube. My boyfriend and I picked up a delicious Ube pastry and Crowaffle. His crowaffle was like a delightful sugary cinnamon stick – pretty sweet so great for those with a sweet tooth. I had the Ube and it’s a different sweetness that nots overbearing and quite light. The service today was excellent with friendly people 🙂
Just found out they have a physical cafe and might make the trip to explore their other treats as well ⭐️

Always delicious. Always friendly. Whether they are at the Farmer’s Market, at a festival, or in their shop, they are always eager to serve, and the pastries are just as delicious. They love to share their food culture and you always walk away feeling smarter, and blissfully satiated.
