They had a special dish that was fries, pulled pork, and cheese. I also got their greens as a side and an order of the shrimp sausage gumbo.
I honestly didn’t enjoy any of it. The pork had an unusual flavor that made me wonder if it was spoiled. The greens were ok, not salty or overly seasoned. But the gumbo really made me sad. The broth tasted dirty, and the shrimp was still in its shell.
While the service was friendly, there was a waitress that announced several times she was having a bad day but would laugh about dropping dishes or dumping to go cups on the floor. It was very bizarre.
I really wish I would have tried the fried chicken or the macaroni and cheese.
The owner was very friendly, and I do want to try them again when I’m in the area.
Waitress was awesome. Went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The owner interacted with us and was really awesome. Actually gave us an extra piece of cobbler for free. The food was really good. I got a basket of wings/ drumsticks, big wings that tasted great, chicken inside the breading was juicy and good. It was the special so you get a basket of those plus whatever side of your choosing for twelve bucks. It was a great deal. I got the baked beans they had little pieces of brisket in them and were good. Had good flavor.
Wife got the pork chops. They were big, awesome and came with a bunch of gravy and rice. Plus a side. She got Green beans as her side. Looked great. Also got cobbler and like I said ended up with an extra piece. We got some bbq fries to go. Fries with pulled pork on them. Haven’t tried them yet. Saving them for later.
Long story short. The service was great. Food was great, especially for the price. Good portions and good food. We will be going back. I’ve worked in Centerville for years but don’t go often on weekends. And there’s not a ton of choices for places in Centerville anymore. My favorite used to be the Garage before it closed. This place might be my new favorite. I hadn’t even heard of it before we stopped in tonight. Glad we did.
Also a very good Christian environment!!!!!
