Great quaint little place with tasty food. Had the rice noodles with pork and vegetable steamed dumplings. They were very well made – loved every bit. Sweet and sour chicken was over cooked- too crispy for our liking but all in all a great experience

Sichuan style restaurant located on 25A near Stony Brook University, at the same address as Xiao Si Chuan.
Food: We ordered sauteed pig intestine w. Garlic 干煸肥肠 and sauteed pork in authentic Chengdu style 酱爆五花肉. The dish is a bit salty for my taste, though my friend finds the seasoning just right. Another friend recommended the drunk beef, which is quite spicy.
Service: The waiter was friendly and asked about our dining experience. When we noted that tomato egg is a common dish but not exist in the menu, he mentioned we could still request it even though it wasn’t listed.
Parking: Free parking lot, more space available towards back.

Was looking for something to eat in the area, I’ve never been to china or had “authentic” Chinese food just what I grew up with here in New York, but I read the reviews here and most people seemed to be in agreement that the food was really good and qualified as authentic, I can’t speak to the second part but I can say the food was absolutely incredible, the stir fried green beans with minced pork might the greatest vegetable dish I’ve ever eaten. The won ton soup had an incredible flavor beyond any I’ve ordered previously and has set the benchmark for all future won ton soups. The pan fried dumplings were also spot on and I had the orange chicken as well which was needless to say perfect also. I’ll be back if this is what authentic Chinese food is, count me in I loved it.

Excellent Chinese food with nice ambiance and very welcoming service. We’ve been here a fair amount of times and have found plenty of things to enjoy! From their appetizers, we most recently tried their crab meat soup dumplings, and though the crab flavor isn’t necessarily the most prominent, the soup dumplings are soft and fresh with tender, flavorful pork — and definitely eat these with the provided vinegar-ginger sauce, too. We also really enjoy their wonton soup, which is great if you’re feeling cold or under the weather, lol. For their mains, I’m always a fan of their fish & tofu pudding, but we also enjoy their double-cooked pork and their mapo tofu. The spice level is serious here — the mapo always leaves my tongue a little numb and it’s definitely the upper limit of my spice tolerance — but you can ask the restaurant to make it milder and they’re happy to oblige. And don’t forget about their weekday lunch specials, it’s a great deal for a lot of food!

This is an authentic Sichuan restaurant, opened just 2 weeks ago in Jan 2024. Ordered the wontons in chili oil and Pidang( century egg with peppers) as appetizers. Both were amazing. Complimentary roasted peanuts and tea were served just before the appetizers. For the main meal, we went with Beef with birds eye chili and beef in hot chili oil. We requested extra hot and we got MaLa spicy for both dishes! The tongue numbing Sichuan peppercorn is just sublime! It’s an acquired taste but when you do acquire it, you can’t have Chinese without it! Every entre comes with a bowl of white rice. Saw plenty of Stony Brook students in groups dining in and getting takeout. This place is going to be very popular soon.

We walked in and noticed the customers were all Chinese. That’s a great sign. Indeed the food was really good. We had organ meats like kidney, stomach, intestines. I have been craving those. We had snails too, which was a real treat. Loved the food. Excellent flavors. Fresh ingredients. Will come back for sure.

This food is beyond amazing we came here after the Jazz Loft… And had a fabulous experience. Kevin the owner was so friendly and helpful in deciding on vegetarian dishes, the interiors were so lovely with lighting, beautiful dishwear and tea set, and relaxing piano music.

Lovely, delicate tea
The very BEST tasting Won Ton Soup I have ever had.
They accommodated my need for brown rice served with a Kung Pau Chicken that had layers of flavor. Highly recommend.
