This is one of my favorite spots in Grand Rapids. Chateau is a wine bar with curated selections of wine and food. While it might not have the most wine options, it definitely has something for everyone including cocktails and mocktails. The atmosphere is very moody and romantic, with dim lights and mid century modern decor. If you’re looking for a cute date night spot or a girls night out, highly recommend. We had two glasses of red wine, two glasses of white, the oysters, caviar and chips, and the charcuterie board. Everything was outstanding, especially the caviar.

This place is a dream. It was our first stop on our trip and did not disappoint. Amazing wine selection, perfect wine bar food, and the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. All around perfect experience. Can’t recommend enough!

One of my absolute favorite places in GR! It has the best cozy vibe and incredible wine selections. Love popping in here for a pre-dinner drink on a date night or with friends. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Great selection of unique and delicious wines. Very friendly and helpful staff. Make sure to ask about buying a bottle to take away if you like what you drank by the glass. The prices are extremely reasonable! This has become my new favorite hang out spot.

Wow. This space is beautiful. Honestly, I couldn’t get enough of it, and I even included a bathroom shot in here because it’s no less part of the wonderful experience of tasteful paint, arrangements, furniture, and refreshing lack of busyness. Full disclosure, I’m not a wine drinker, so this isn’t your review for vetting that. I AM a coffee drinker, and they serve Sey Coffee from NY (which is good stuff). If their wine selection and service is anything like the intentionality that seems to be in everything else, that will also be worth your time. There is some outdoor seating in the back. Chateau is open for coffee in the morning and into the late afternoon, and while I’m sure they still serve coffee upon request, they make a restaurant shift toward wine parties at around 4ish. I continued to finish a few work emails during that transition, and while glasses were being put out on tables all around me, I didn’t receive pressure to leave, which is great! But I’m sure they would appreciate the help achieving the feel for their evening without laptops and books like mine .

This is supposed to be a specialized wine place. We tried 4 different wines that were all bad. Literally. Our zinfandel was serviced from an old open bottle. Our Prosecco had ZERO bubbles, tells you about the freshness of the wines. For their wine by the glass menu, you could have simply picked up random cheap wines from Meijer and would have been much better than their own selection. Utterly disappointing!

This place is the best natural wine bar. Such a great wine spot for any occasion. The food is snacky and delicious… feels like I’m back in Spain.

Absolutely loved it here. The staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. Gratuity is built into their pricing. So, you can pay and go. Seems like a great company with an expanding, well curated wine list that is passionate about their craft. Highly recommend stopping by. (They can also make a great Manhattan)

Omg! Grand Rapids has been needing a place like this. They have food, beer, liquor and coffee too. I had the prosciutto and brie baguette and hamachi crudo. and then we also did “bumps at the bar” of trout roe. Hahaha! So genius and delicious.

Went for coffee this morning, it was great! I loved the atmosphere and the coffee was delicious. I heard that they are opening a wine bar soon and I’m very excited to try that when it’s open.
