We really like Ol West BBQ and eat there around once a month. We really love the ribs, the roasted chicken, chili and roast pork sandwich. Actually, we’ve like just about anything we’ve gotten there! The only thing that I can say is that the interior of the place is due for a remodel. It just looks run down, and not in an old-timey western sort of way! The bathrooms are really pretty gross too. Other than that, the food itself is very good. We’ve even used them to cater a few outdoor parties we’ve had, and the guests have always loved the food!

My favorite restaurant all-together. They have great food, I especially like the catfish or the chili. The bar is very good as well and I always enjoy visiting. Russ is a fantastic bartender and always makes every visit enjoyable as he makes fantastic drinks, provides great service, and is always a blast to talk to. As long as he is there, I will continue to visit as often as I can!

Having been to real BBQ in the south I can say this place is about the best you will get in NJ. The one fact that stands out is the absolutely disgusting bathrooms! There is really no excuse for this, to me this show a total lack of caring for the customer. I’ve been to some pretty shady dive bars that have cleaner bathrooms. If you do go keep your expectations low for the food, mainly remember that you are in NJ and are not going to get real southern BBQ. And if you value cleanliness at all, DO NOT USE THE BATHROOMS!

Lived in GA for 13 years and this is the best BBQ joint around New Jersey. Fun atmosphere for the family and decent food. Bathrooms do need to be cleaned a bit more frequently.

No one should pay that much for food that taste like it came from a fast food restaurant. Brisket was tasteless and ribs weren’t much better. I took some to a friend because I didn’t want to fire up the smoker and was a shamed had I known I would have never given them to her
