Oaxaca is authenticity, love, color, tradition, and folklore – it’s more than just the myth of the seven moles. It’s a world of flavors.
Oaxaca can be defined in a bite, like the tlayuda with its quesillo, the black mole with free-range chicken, the chapulines, the salsa from molcajete, the tetelas made from native corn, the molotes, the banana leaf tamales, and its smooth, aromatic mezcal.
Talking about Oaxaca and its cuisine is like exploring its markets and falling in love with its ingredients.
Oaxaca Cuisine invites you to enjoy the experience of its cooking and to explore Oaxaca in a single bite.

My friend told me he had tried this restaurant recently and fell in love with it so Saturday, he along with my wife, her step sister and myself decided to dine there for lunch. We were greeted by a very friendly and accommodating waitress. We tried some of their famed Tamales which were well steamed and wrapped in corn husks. Extremely tasty and superior to the normal rolled tamale. We had the traditional Queso or cheese dip and Guacamole, each flavorful but not as unique as the other items. My wife had the Caldos sopas (soup) and it was enormous or grande (in Spanish). It had a hearty flavor with the consistency of split pea soup. My friend had the Tiayuda, a pleasant mix of chicken, black beans, Oaxaca cheese, cabbage, avocado and tomato and chorizo sausage. He loved it. My Negro Mole was superb. The balance of sweet and spicy with the blend of chocolate and various chillis was perfect. My wife’s stepsister was less venturesome to try a regional food, and stuck to the Fajitas which she loved. Since three of us had been to Mexico, we wanted authentic and not traditional Tex-Mex. That is exactly what we got– authentic regional Mexican fare. As hungry as we were and as delightful as the food tasted, we all hauled off boxes of leftovers for the next day. The atmosphere and environment is very colorful and unique. I have rated tons of restaurants on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google and after traveling 36 countries and 48 States, can unequivocally rate this in my top five. If you want traditional Tex-Mex, they also serve that but the regional Oaxaca is its claim to fame.

We felt genuinely welcomed by three different people within thirty seconds of entering. We were seated promptly and advised of the nights drink specials. The server was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and service are top notch. The cocktails were delicious and beautiful with a variety of fruits and fancy garnish. It was fun to watch the bartender make them with such flair. It’s evident that they take care with their authentic recipes like their mole and the best tortillas you’ll ever have. They provide 4 varieties of salsas ranging from mild to smoky heat to fire habanero which my husband truly enjoyed. We enjoyed our visit and will be back!

My husband & I stopped by while on a road trip. Mexican food is our favourite and this place is the BEST Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to, by far!!
We were greeted so kindly by the staff. As we walked to our table, we noticed how beautiful & super clean this place was, even the bathrooms were spotless. Our waitress, Jezelle, was amazing!
We each ordered our favourite dishes, Camarones a la Diabla (me) and Quesabirras (him). And, we each ordered a tamale. The food was outstanding!!! The tamales were wrapped in banana leaves (pictured) and that gave them a delicious flavour!
We are definitely making this place our new go-to! I would have more pictures, but we were thoroughly enjoying the food & atmosphere ❤️

If you really want to try authentic food, this is the place you have to visit. It is a combination of typical food with Texan food. You will not find many dishes on their menu at other restaurants. You have to try the pozole and the chilaquiles. The yellow pork is also very delicious. And the tamales
are a must, although they were given to me reheated and it was a little short of reaching the right temperature, which gave the dough a different flavor. However, the filling was delicious and not at all spicy. It’s the closest thing to typical Mexican food that you’ll find around the area,

This is the first time eating at this restaurant and the food was great but our waitress Claudia was so sweet and went out her way to assist us. I told her I was bringing my niece out for her birthday and she even was as sweet as bringing a piece of cake. Please ask for her when you arrive. She was the bomb.
