Went for my bday and wasn’t disappointed. It’s challenging to find great food and great people these days, but I’m happy to say Curry Island has both.

Huge thanks to Stephy (spelling? Sorry if incorrect) for taking care of us and being so hospitable. She kindly walked us through the menu where we had questions, provided recommendations, and then walked us through the food as it came to the table. 5 star service!

My personal favorite from the night was the calamari. I really love the spice they use, as it sets the calamari far apart from anything else I’ve had.

The samosas were also amazing and probably my wife’s favorite.

The main dishes were great as well. We had the sampler and the chicken biryani.

I will say though, for the sampler, it may have been too much for me and my wife to try alone.

I’ll explain…
The dish comes out on a piping hot skillet, so without a doubt, everything continues to cook a bit on the plate as it sits there.

I honestly don’t think we were fast enough eating, so by the time we got to the end, some of the chicken had dried out a bit. That’s to be expected with chicken that sits too long in general, but especially sitting on a hot skillet.

Everything was super fresh when it first came out, so no fault of anyone, just the nature of the beast. Something to keep in mind if you try the sampler with 1 or 2 people.

Almost forgot about the Naan, also very very good!

Last but not least, they finished the night off with a surprise mango cheesecake for my bday. Unfortunately a few things we didn’t get photos of, but I plan to make a return trip and get better photos of everything!

In town from daytona beach. Everything about this place was amazing. The service is the best I’ve had in a long time. The employees are very friendly as well. I eat out ALOT and this is in my top 3 favorites. Will definitely be coming back.

As Indians who had been vacationing in Amelia for a couple days, we were desperate for some Indian food. We were skeptical because this was the only Indian place we found. Needless to say, the food was amazing! I loved the Calamari Manchurian especially! The workers were Mallu and very kind to us. We came with a large group 30 mins before closing, and they were still generous enough to offer everything and accomodate us.

Came in on Sunday around noon after hearing all the good things from friends. And it did not disappoint. The food and service were great. There were only 3 other tables seated, so it was very calm. One table was very loud which was a bit annoying. We sat opposite sides of the restaurant and he was still yelling. Anyway, will be back to try some on the menu!!!

I live in Yulee. Folks, no matter how much traffic is on A1A, it is absolutely worth going over the bridge. Our waitress was super patient and friendly, and she brought water to the table so we could refill ourselves. Every dish that I tried was seasoned to perfection. The naan was soft, warm, and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Pictured is the chicken tikka masala, which is better than the tikka masala I had in England, the garlic naan, the basmati rice, and the tamarind sauce that was served with our delicious samosas. They did not last long enough for a picture. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Big shoutout to Curry Island Indian Kitchen (right beside Millennium on Amelia Island). Today is their very first day open and wow…the food did not disappoint! We’ve had Indian food all over the world, and this was truly exceptional, from the rich flavors to the warm service, everything was top-notch. Proud to be among their very first customers and we’ll definitely be back many times. Welcome to Amelia Island!

Authentic South Indian cuisine with a wide selection for vegetarians and carnivores. The fish curry is nearly as good as it is in Kerala. The naans are delicious — perfectly prepared. I was shocked to find such good South Asian food in a strip mall on the Island!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel taken care of without ever being intrusive.

The food was exceptional. The mahi mahi was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and beautifully balanced with the spices. The curry was easily one of the best I’ve had: rich, aromatic, and layered with incredible depth of flavor. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and authentic.

What really stood out was how everything came together—the quality of the ingredients, the skill in the kitchen, and the attentive service. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the hospitality are this consistently excellent.

Five stars all the way. I’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending it to friends. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Simply fantastic! Atmosphere is great and modern! All the tables were full (which is a good sign). The food was out of this world. The flavors and spices utilized, buttery smooth curry. We ordered mango curry, Manchurian gobi, tikka Marsala and naan bread and it was ALL delicious. My biggest regret was not ordering the large size dishes and not ordering extra rice to soak up all that good extra sauce. This is a fantastic spot, give it a shot!
