Went with the pollo lomo saltado and took a pescado ceviche home. Wow! Both dishes were bursting with flavor and delicious!
We’ll absolutely be back!
This place is truly authentic and delicious. I cannot stress enough how good it is. If you like Latin food at all you must come here and try it.
I’m still in disbelief that such authentic south American cuisine is right here in Vista.
I also highly recommend the chicha morada, it was crazy good!
Drove down from Bonsall area to confirm if true, yes, so true!
I didn’t just checked it out, I went in and sat down to eat.
I was greeted by the Owner/Chef himself, and in such “awe” moment brought me back home… reminding me of my grandfather (with his Asian eyes) and mother’s home-cook meals.
“Dine in or Take out?” Snapped back into my senses and said “Dine in, please
As I sat down and given the menu, the Chef asked if I was Peruvian (he was not sure) I said, Yes, from Tarma, Junín
Before I began my order he said, “I will bring you Chicha morada, on the house!”
One sip and I almost cried — this was so good, and brought me to my childhood when my family boiled the purple corn with cinnamon stick, orange peals, pineapple Anyway, back to reality… it was delightful and tasty!
I cannot tell you the rest, but you have to stop by and try these dishes.
Nothing compares this restaurant to the other restaurant in the neighborhood with Peruvian/Colombian fusion – stick to one and no fusion, please.
LATIN CHEF PERUVIAN CUISINE is authentic, no fusion, no gimmicks.
Lomo Saltado is to die for, the sauce and the tenderness of the meat.
The Leche de Tigre is a quick pretaste of what the ceviche is but mainly its juice with small chunks of fish and a few pieces of Shrimp. Well worth the price than paying for a ticket to Peru to eat ceviche, this is it and it here in Oceanside!
Oh! I forgot my Yuca Frita with its famous “Huancaina” sauce. There are other spicy and green sauces to dip your “yuquita” — fried casaba sticks.
This place has delivered in flavor, welcoming atmosphere, and authenticity!
Thank you for opening this restaurant and wish you great success, I will be coming back and with my family! 5 ⭐️
