The food is good and the service is fast. The staff has to go through a ton of people every night with completely random rushes, I have no idea how they do it.
This place was iffy when it first opened up, but that’s because they had new staff and literally everybody slammed it for the first month because it was something new. Now, it’s everything you could ever ask for at 1am on a Tuesday.

In one word: Meh.
The waiting lines are often very long, the hygiene in the kitchen looks to be slightly neglected, and the food you get is overpriced in my opinion. For a small portion of fries, I can go to McDonalds down the turnpike too and save a dollar or two. The burgers are soggy with Ketchup and mustard, but taste “okay”, 2/5. Thw “smashfries” that I ordered were soggy with fat, so much that is showed through the paper ba;. Absolutely disgusting.Overall, this would not be my first choice, but if there’s absolutely nothing else available(which I doubt, with Uber eats, McD down the street, etc.), not the worst fast food restaurant to go to. Just be prepared to spend half an hour waiting and your food to be absolutely disappointing.

This food is quite, quite bad. Should you be curious as to the taste, go to your garage and procure some cardboard. Pour water on the cardboard. Put two hamburger buns with expired mustard and stale lettuce on either side of the soggy cardboard. Congrats, you just saved yourself $16

Hofusa is cool if you don’t want to go off campus and spend real money to eat at Applebee’s. There’s a ton of things that you can order that aren’t on the actual menu like Oreo Milkshakes, French Fry Pizza, Deer Intestines, and hotdogs! I’ve had some of my most emotional and defining moments while sitting in the back of Hofusa eating the world renowned Hofusa Fries. For example, one day I was sitting in the back of Hofusa with two friends, and the three of us bought our own quesadilla and split Hofusa fries, and that’s when I heard the news that I had to take a additional 3 years at Hofstra just to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. On one hand, obviously I was a little upset that they try told me this while I was a first semester senior, but on the other, the overlords of Hofstra knew I was eating my favorite meal on campus, so when I heard the news, I was all buttered up and was ultimately happy with this information knowing that I would have the privilege to be able to eat Hofusa Fries for 3 long more years. This is also the location where my first college friend told me I was “weird” and “off putting” moments before unfriending me in embarrassing fashion. We never saw each other again, and I had to scramble for new friendships ever since. All in all: 3 stars for Hofusa as all Hofstra students have grown and developed memories here while eating some of the best cardboard of their lives.

The menu is pretty limited, the food is subpar and excessively greasy and oily, and the employees have been unnecessarily rude at times. It’s unfortunate that they’re one of the only food options open a during later hours.

How does one describe the beauty of Smashburger at Hofstra USA? A rose perfectly set upon a bush, red eminating forth like the final beams of a sunset closing out the day. Or possibly more similar to the beauty of a woman, returning home with you after a long night on the hunt. Or even better yet, a beauty that can only be seen from the eyes of a mother gazing upon her newborn child, swaddled in white with a glimmer of hope in its eye. From the fumes of char-boiled beef to the crisp bite of a fresh Smash Fry, the establishment is without a doubt the pinnacle of luxury dining in the greater New York Area.
